TV camera's did catch the incident, none of the players protested over anything towards the referee until a decision was actually given and everybody, both on the pitch and in the stands, was mystified as to why a penalty was given. I still remain sceptical as to whether anything happened.

Whether it did or not though, what's for sure is that as soon as Terry was sent off, we lost any battle or fight and with that our chance of picking up at least a point from the game, something we were well capable of, as they were noting special.

Interesting that even Danny Wilson said exactly the same as I said at the time in relation to the corner not even being taken when the Assistant flagged.

We'd started OK and as you said yesterday on the way home Matt, even after the needless own goal we were still not doing too badly.

Was I the only one watchng the Gornell/Austin incident, they were both stood in the middle of the 6 yard box, Gornell had got on the wrong side of Austin, stood behind him, Gornell was pushing Austin, Austin back heeled Gornell then Gornell raked the back of Austin's leg, the sort of thing you see all the time, especialy at non league level, the corner came over and was cleared, the linesman immeadiately flagged for a penalty, no Swindon player appealed, the ref then lost the plot, at worst it should have been a booking for Austin and Gornell, the sending off was a joke and giving a penalty was clearly wrong, Les needs to complain to the FA, the ball was not in play when the offence occurred, therefore no penalty should have been awarded. Up to that point we had matched Swindon, playing against a difficult wind in the first half, I thought 1-0 at half time we'd have been in with a chance, the officials ruined the match through incorrect interpretation of the laws. From then on we were poor, Luke was MOM for us, it could have been 6-0, Ash played well, back four OK, ITM ran his heart out but with 10 men against a good side and a homer ref what do you expect.
Baz was awful when he came on, it felt like we only had 9 on the pitch.
The talk in the crowd was about the Walsall game, a ground we have a decent record at, it seems all the teams around us are winning, looks like we will need 52 points to stay up, 11 points form 7 games, 3 win, 2 draws will do.

Sounds like Gornell did a very stupid thing - raking studs or stamp it's not a bright idea. He's out for 3 games but he is no loss anyway.

Conflict here Kwis as you said Swindon were a good side and another said they were nothing special.
I note Parry went from the penalty to 3-0 without comment
on the game between in respect of the players.
A deflated Parry ,I think, who knows he's up against it.

He's always been up against it.

At least we have a chance of staying up now. Just 'cause you seem to expect promotion or something ridiculous as you seem to moan at every manager we have.
