Throughout the season we provide you with a platform to discuss each and every Rovers match whether it be the build-up to kick-off or post match analysis so here we bring you the Match Discussion Thread for Saturday afternoon's Coca-Cola League One match away at Walsall as Tranmere look move back out of the relegation zone.......

Article Header - Match Discussion

Saturday 10th March - Coca Cola League One

 Walsall v Tranmere R

Kick-Off 3.00pm at Bescot Stadium

For those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, particularly the high number of costly and time consuming southern away games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread on the Site for every Rovers game.

The thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match anaylsis.

Stadium - Walsall

Where possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game.

Tranmere of course travel to Walsall in Coca-Cola League One on Saturday afternoon in what is another vital game for Rovers, so if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on.

Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.

You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.

What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

I think we can get a point at least from this game, maybe more. We need to get hold of the game right from the off though

No points from this game means an impossible uphill climb out of relegation!
I am praying for at least a point, need 3!!
We need a lot of luck,as our away form is poor. We need a battling performance and a solid defence!
Our players and coaches must now realize that now is the time that the run-in is the time for us to 'step up to the plate' and deliver results!!
Unthinkable! That 11 years ago, the club was safe in what is now the Championship. How times change(except the board). I fear the writing is on the wall. Hoping I'm wrong!
C'mon the Whites!!

got get a point today at worst or the pressure to win the two home games will be immense.

Its a bout time we had a decent performance away from home and a decent result to match it.

I'm afraid relegation is looming. Les should throw caution to the wind and play players who might score. Anything should be better than these non strikers he plays.

Another example of Les being tactically inept and stubborn. They were there for the taking today, nothing to play for and their fans staging some sort of protest. However we failed to capitalise.

First of all I am sick and tired of 3 defensive midfielders in the team. But worst of all I am sick and tired of Gareth bloomin Edds. Yes he may give his all but he aint a good footballer, simple as that. In fact that ladabie fella did more when he came on than Edds ever has. You have got mahon, Barnett and Ladabie on the bench, start one of them for the love of god.

Then we have the left back situation. If he is only playing Gordon because he has to then why the hell did he agree to loan him in those conditions? We knew bakayogo would be back after his suspension and he is ten times the player. Gordon should have been sent off, got roasted on a couple of ocassions and doesen't offer as much as Baka going forward. But god forbid Les would sub him off.

All in all a day which confirms what I have felt since the Hartlepool game really, we are not good enough and are heading down.

He has cost us goals at Brighton, walsall and swindon.Where is the logic of keeping him in the team.his selection is like pressing the self destruct button

Back to the game though, we were actually the better side until we scored. Had by far the better chances, well chance, when Savage had the ball played to his feet (where he is strongest - not the air..) and dribbled round his man to set up ITM who, lets be honest here, should have ripped the net off!

Once we scored though we seemed to panic rather than settle and play football.

The last ten minutes we pressed again and possible could of took a point. Having said that the defending was absolutely atrocious for both goals. The first one was a free header with no man on the post. The runner at the front post took away THREE players! As for the second, no idea what McCready was doing.

Thought Labadie looked very good again when he came on, needs to start IMO!

Explain exactly what's super out nearly losing at home to a team who have been in relegation like 97% of the season in front of a just over 3000 silent fans?

I wish I was as doped up and easily excited like u w@nksy and mayb this season could have been more entertaining.
