Les Parry was disappointed with his team's 2-1 defeat away at Walsall on Saturday afternoon which left Rovers needing arguably six points from the upcoming two home matches this week.

Parry told Tranmere Player......

"It's a disappointing defeat because we dominated the first half hour, had some great chances, only took one and then we gave them two goals.  For
the first one we've not picked up the runner."

"We've had good chances in the second half as well and haven't taken them and we've been hit by two sucker punches which isn't something we want to be doing too often."

Parry Les

"When you are where we are things don't quite go your way.  We've just got to pick ourselves up and we've got two massive matches this week.  Results today haven't been too bad for us so we're still in the same position but with one game less today."

"Zoom came back into our thoughts today, but when we look at the contribution of Ben he's stronger in defending, but not so effective going forward.  Ben has done nothing wrong, but certainly with it being a home game it's something we've got to seriously consider."

Don't see how he can say Gordon has done nothing wrong. That own goal at Swindon is a one for a start Les.

I can't stand Gordon while zoom can be rash at times I would still have to say hes better defender than Gordon. I thought maybe he had a must play clause or something coz I can't understand how he keeps getting picked.

I wondered the same SWS but the last paragraph there suggests this isn't the case perhaps?

Les' after match comments were ridiculous, how can you say gordon has done ok and is better than Zoom defensively? He has cost us goals and Zoom has been one of our best players, unbelieveable!

How can parry claim that Gordan is better at defending. At Brighton he was constantly exposed and in the Norwich match they threatened most down the flanks. At swindon he was weak and vulnerable again yesterday.Until his suspension Zoom was, along with Goodison, our best defender. If parry really believes his own words then I fear that such blindness will lead to poor team selection and nail relegation as a certainty. Of the loan signings the young lad from WBA looks the best yet he cannot get astart despite our mediocre midfield and the suspension of McLaren

Gordon is being played because Chelsea will charge us for his wages if he's not playing!!!! (and that's around 5,000 a week)

What happens if we've got two games in one week? Does he only have to play 1?

Just send him back, he's absolutely awful.

Anyway 5000 a week, he can't play football to save his life.

What will it cost us to be relegated.Gordon in the team makes that more likely. The club knew that Zoom would be out for 3 games so why on earth would they agree a loan that prevents them from playing their strongest team.In effect they gamble a dozen games on an unknown quantity for the sake of 3 where the qualities of the player are known. If it is true then we really warrant be described as a shambles of a club

Like I've said I doubt very much it's true anyway.
