Throughout the season we provide you with a platform to discuss each and every Rovers match whether it be the build-up to kick-off or post match analysis so here we bring you the Match Discussion Thread for Saturday afternoon's Coca-Cola League One match at home to Exeter City as Tranmere look to move back out of the relegation zone.......
Saturday 17th April - Coca Cola League One
Tranmere R v Exeter City
Kick-Off 3.00pm at Prenton Park
For those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, particularly the high number of costly and time consuming southern away games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread on the Site for every Rovers game.
The thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match anaylsis.
Where possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game.
Tranmere of course host Exeter City in Coca-Cola League One on Saturday afternoon in what is another vital game for Rovers, so if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on.
Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.
You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.
What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

With injuries what team can we expect today. Apparently robbo/curran should make it so I reckon;
Gulcasi
Edds Broomes Goodison Zoom
Mclaren Taylor Welsh
Curran ITM Robbo
Actually think it looks quite a good team (for us!) Edds should provide more going forward and Robbo will hopefully have that bit of class we've been lacking.
On another note just hope that everyone gets behind the lads for the full 90 minutes whatever happens.
SUPER WHITE ARMY!!!!!!!

great display right from the start. 20+ shots tells the story!
Ash did great at CB think its his best position and again trying to get everyone fired up the start top lad and player.
Everyone put in it and also though bas showed some good touches and looked better out wide than in the middle.
Great all round performance from everyone and also good to see a better performance from the fans today (what we need and more for the rest of the season)
MOTM for me would be zoom with labadie very close behind.
Drags Exeter right back into it, their remaining three games are Charlton (H), Hartlepool (A), Hudders (H). They're tough games, hopefully we've knocked their confidence and it's 3 defeats.
if we win on tuesday and at stockport then one point in the other games may be enough. if we lose on tuesday but beat milwall and stockport it's still possible... jeez the next weeks are gonna be a nightmare :-)
Great win but with others winning we are paying the price for recent lapses.A second successive win on Tuesday would go someway to putting us back in control of our own fate. The way results have gone I suspect that we we will need 51 points to avoid relegation
Lets get one thing straight - this wasn't a great performance.
At 0-0 11 v 11, we looked like we wouldn't score if we played all day, it was very very bottom of the table stuff, very little inspiration and couldn't see where a goal would possibly come from. You can only play against who you are put in front of and it was a pretty efficient performance against 10 men apart from the finishing though.
Based on today and recent games, its pretty diffficult to be optimistic about our chances of winning any 11 v 11 game at the moment but hopefully it'll get some confidence through the team which may just be what is needed.
As for tuesday, we need 2 wins and this is the best hope for the second (assuming we beat stockport) - we cant take the 'try and get something out of the game' mentality. A draw is a bad result in my book - we really have to try and win this one somehow.
They have nothing to play for and we are fighting for our life, a point isn't much use - if the team is good enough to stay up - they should be able to go out on tuesday, win the game and move out of the bottom 4. I've a feeling this could be the key moment in the season - a draw or loss and I think we might not make it.
We were clearly watching different games then MikeH.
From the start, for me, we were by far the better team. Yes, maybe we hadn't threatened the goal too much BUT we were doing better, and I still think we'd of won whether they had 10, or 11 men.
cadburygorilla still think 1 more point and a 1 win will do us. Last game of season antony kay v exeter to keep us up!!
This would leave us on 48, take GD into account and its effectively 47.5 We'd need Gillingham to lose all 3 or Exeter to take a maximum of 1 point from their last 3.
Chances of staying up with a win and a draw seem remote to be honest.
I'd say 50 is a min to stay up which means 2 wins (assuming we'll lose at least one) and we might need another point or 2 on top of that.
Mikey We were clearly watching different games then MikeH.

you've summed it up there - we really didn't look like scoring at all, we weren't playing that badly as such just no goal threat.
The games I've seen we've looked okay when ahead but when we need to chase games and get a goal - there's no inspriration at all.
Yeah but you're assuming that wouldn't improve, we'd only played 35 minutes when the man was s/o.
We'd had 3 or 4 attempts on goal and every time we went forward we genuinely did look threatening. Exeter however, were woeful. Their distribution was the worst of any side I've seen this season.
exeter unbeaten in last 9. not going to keep that form up very often followed by a few defeats. they got a tough stretch and man banned for next game.
MikeH we had them on the backfoot from the 1st minute ash missed a free header we were attacking a lot.
Then v 10 men we had over 20 shots!!!!!!! If you can't take a positive from today then I think you should just switch off until next season because a 3-1 under pressure is a good result to me.
1 win and a draw has us safe when I did bbc predictor. That said it is leaving it fine. Who knows what can happen we win all games from now on in we survive whatever happens!!!!!
Iv been screaming for weeks for josh to start. Finally today with him on the field Er looked much more attackive. It's is good to see but extremely annoying! Has josh and zoom been played for walsall an wycombe we may be sitting more favourably now. Open ur eyes les and please take note
How dare mclaren storm down the tunnel for being subbed who's he think he is
I thought Joss played really well and it was nice to see an intelligent midfielder for once. Pity the other results didn't go for us but there you go.
I fear Les may put Mcready back in and move Ash into the centre on tuesday though, which would be a joke. If robbo is back in we should start him and really go for the win. I honestly feel we have to win on tuesday, a draw doesen't really do us any good considering the following games are Colchester away and then Millwall.
Sub why would he send him down tunnel for treatment when Les is not there to treat him?. The physio that helps out only works through the week. That's why Les still runs on when during the games....................
There didn't seem anything up to me? Welsh went over to see who was going off, surely they would have known this if a player was injured.
Irrelevant anyways I think we all agree that josh needs to start ahead of him what ever. It was good to see midfielders getting in to the box for a change and not playing 30 yard balls causing the strikers to be isolated as per usual.. even hopeful punts had a little more success as we actually had players in and around their box for once and weren't so deep.
Had we approached wycombe with same attitude we'd have got something from the game. I'd start with the same team except josh starts ahead of Paul and edds at right back instead of Broomes although I thought edds done well in middle so that's not so important.
Mclaren pulled up with a hamstring about 5 mins before half time hence why edds was in and out of the tunnel at half time. I wish people would lay off macca I think he has done well for us the last few months.
I agree with Gorilla for once, Maclaren was playing well yesterday until he got injured. He didn't storm down the tunnel. Deadly Sub was right, I sit by the tunnel and he was talking to Les and just went down tunnel probably for ice or something as I thought it was his left knee that looked to be giving him a problem.
Just cos there was no-one to 'treat' McLaren, it doesn't mean he didn't go down the tunnel as you say for ice or even for something else that enabled him to treat himself until after the game.
The club doctor sits in the directors box, when someone is injured, he walks down to the dressing room and assesses the injury and treats him if necessary.
The club doctor actually sits on the seats next to the dugout and accompanies players if they go off injured. When Macca came off on Saturday he said something to Les and Les said 'OK, and jump in the shower too if you want.' I suspect Macca had a niggle that didn't require treatment by either the doctor or Les immediately.
I also agree that Macca has been getting some undeserved sitck also. I agree that in the earlier part of the season he wasn't playing well, but in the last couple of months I think he's put a shift in.
well i must be watching a different game from you lot thats al i'l say, differing opinions so it aint worth arguing over.
whats Les gonna go with 2moro then? can we do it...
i felt for weeks we'd do them, but hearing they have only lost like 2 at home or something kinda ruined that for me. i think we'll take a point off millwall and win at stockport. forgetting tues an col, ya wreckon a miracle could happen an 4 points be enough?
Hartlepool are good at home and Huddersfield and Charlton are both going for promotion. You're right Mikey they might struggle. I'd say we need at least five points though
yes but i had Gills down with their run in... they were 3 nil up after half an hour vs leeds.
Form book means jack this time of season. cross ya fingers we need out luck to hold.
admittedly they were set back due to the 10 men and a recent great run suggests exeter must have something... however they were the worst team to play at prenton so far i must say
Although unbeaten in 9, 6 of them were draws. They won no away games in that time and as far as I can remember (though may be wrong) they didn't face strong teams when playing at home.
