Tranmere Roverst to announce special "Wear Something White day" for big game at Stockport
Tranmere Rovers are tomorrow set to announce on the club's official website that next week's away trip to Stockport County will be a "Wear something White day", for both fans and players.
With the game carrying huge importance, the club are trying to unite the visiting Tranmere fans by getting them all to wear the same colour, creating a sea of white at Edgely Park.
The Tranmere Rovers first team will also be wearing their all white home kit for the fixture.
With everybody wearing the same colour, the club hope that their fans can make a terrific atmosphere at Edgely Park and cheer their team on to victory.
Rovers applied a similar theme to their important away game at Scunthorpe a year ago today in the final game of last season, and although the result was not as Tranmere would have liked, the atmosphere created by the Rovers fans was absolutely superb.
The game at Stockport on Saturday carries massive important for Tranmere, who go into the game level on points with Exeter City and two points behind Gillingham ahead of the final game of the seasonn, following yesterday's win against Millwall.
Hartlepool United however could also be thrown into the mix if they have three points deducted for fielding a suspended player against Brighton in April.
Tranmere fans are expected to sell out their initial allocation of 2,000 tickets, though it is believed that more tickets may be available for the club if necessary.
However, having already sold roughly 1,800 tickets for the game, it is advised that you get down to the ticket office at Prenton Park early on Tuesday to purchase your match ticket.
