Rovers to have 1000 more tickets available for Saturday's huge League One match

Article Header - Breaking News

Tranmere Rovers have this morning announced that a further 1000 tickets will be made available for the club's huge League One game with Stockport on Saturday.

Tranmere go into the game needing to pick up at least a point, but more likely a win to try and retain their place in League One for the 2010/11, needing to finish above one of Exeter, Gillingham or Hartlepool.

Rovers were given an initial allocation of 2,000 tickets for the game at Edgely Park, but long queues this morning saw Rovers fans snap up the remaining 200 tickets.

As a result, Tranmere Rovers have requested another 1000 tickets from Stockport, with the tickets due to arrive at the Prenton Park ticket office at 1pm today (Tuesday).

Fans wishing to go to the match are urged to get to Prenton Park at roughly 1pm if they wish to be certain of getting a ticket for the match.

Surprised we've only got another 500, I thought we'd get at least 750, but I guess we might not sell that out

Very crazy yes. Going to be a great day I'm very much looking forward to it, I just hope we get the results we all want!

As for the ticket allocation, the club initially announced 500 extra tickets this morning. This has now been extended to 1,000 extra tickets.

Even better still. Surely that's going to be close to 50% of the ground lol behind the goal and down one side? Or maybe down two sides but near corner flags

Just checked out their official website, and it looks like we've got the usual open end and all of the Popular Side too. So, 2 sides of the ground each it is then.

I'm going to try and get tickets tomorrow morning on the phone since my son and I live in Essex...worth the phone bill and travel if we stay up!

By the way here's an update of Hartlepool's situation, which could affect us:

On The Hartlepool Situation, Do You Think The F.A May Choose To Take A Tough Stance And Make An Example Of Them And Maybe Take More Than 3 Points.

Perhaps The 3 Points That They Got For Winning The Game Plus 3 More As A Punishment?

I guess if they had lost the match they would still have 3 points deducted...but as they won it will be interesting to see what the league rules are. My gut feeling is that they will only deduct 3 points.

If they'd lost the match I'd disagree with a points deduction.

Yes they've broke the rules and deserve a punishment, but they hardly gained an unfair advantage on other teams, so a fine would be suitable.

However they did gain 3 points unfairly, therefore these, in my opinion, should be deducted, and a fine as a punishment.

I feel sorry for their fans I really do, however this is a relegation dogfight, rules have been broken and appropriate punishments should be applied.

Their is some serious incompetence at the top of their club.

Back on topic though, good to see their is going to be 3000 plus Rover's fans on Saturday, should be a good day and if we stay up it'll be a fantastic occasion.

If we stay up it will be awesome, especially with over 3000 of us there...and well worth the 9 hour round trip home. The things I do to avoid shopping with the missus!
