Vauxhall Motors have now confirmed that they will play Tranmere Rovers in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday 20th July at their Rivacre Park Ground with a 7.30pm kick-off adding yet another pre-season outing in a fast-growing list of games ahead of the 2010/11 season......
After news of a friendly match was announced on both days of the weekend, the games keep coming as the friendly we reported as a possibility yesterday has now been confirmed as Rovers visit Vauxhall Motor's Rivacre Park Stadium.
The match will take place at 7.30pm on Tuesday 20th July which is just 24 hours before Championship side Nottingham Forest visit Prenton Park for a friendly game.
This suggests therefore that the game at Vauxhall may well involve the Youth Team squad or perhaps a mix of Youth and fringer first team players with the main squad members most likely to feature against Forest the following day.
Tranmere's pre-season now shapes up like this...........
Friday July 9th: Holyhead Hotspurs (A) - Kick-Off TBC
Tuesday July 13th: Heswall (A) and Cammell Laird (A) - 7.00pm
Saturday July 17th: Marine (A) and Colwyn Bay (A) - 3.00pm
Tuesday July 20th: Vauxhall Motors (A) - 7.30pm
Wednesday July 21st: Nottingham Forest (H) - 7.45pm
Saturday July 24th: Mansfield Town (A) - 3.00pm
Friday July 30th: Altrincham FC (A) - 7.45pm
Saturday July 31st: Shrewsbury Town (A) - 3.00pm
Games in BLUE are likely to be a Youth (Non First Team) Team fixture
