Rovers set to name two new signings tomorrow

HEADERNEW - breakingnews

Tranmere Rovers boss Les Parry has revealed that Tranmere Rovers are very close to completing two new signings, with the players expected to complete their moves to the club tomorrow.

Parry revealed the news on BBC Radio Merseyside tonight, where he was the special guest on their new show "Total Football".

Answering questions about Tranmere's current injury situation and how thin the squad currently is, the Rovers boss stated that he expects Rovers to complete the transfers tomorrow, one of which is a loan move for a right-back.

One of the signings could be Maxime Blanchard who has been on trial at Prenton Park and impressed against Liverpool on Tuesday evening, despite Rovers losing 2-0.

Parry also revealed that the signing of Leeds player Andy Robinson, who was so pivitol in helping Rovers stay up in the final few games of the 09/10 season, is not going to happen due to Robinson's high wage at Elland Road, whilst a deal to sign Crusaders player Jordan Owens has been ruined by the player's agent.

With the exception possibly of Fraughan and Jennings I did not think that any of the other players looked remotely of league standard as yet.The defence looked particularly weak. Those who seemed to have the physical presence to step up lacked the necessary pace.I am sure that some have the potential but we need a couple of signings that are ready for first team football

No other news as to who the second signing is yet. I'd like McGurk to sign though, he looked decent. Injury looked nasty though

Perhaps it's just wishful thinking, but Tresor Kandol was officially released by Leeds yesterday, to find a new club, could this be something to do with us?

I certainly hope so, because he is the proven goalscorer that we need, in my opinion.

Again, I know that we are going to get bogged down in discussions of "our financial position", but I'm just saying, he would be an excellent addition to the squad.

i think the signing will prob be someone young who is trying to make there name in english football / away from a prem league team /championship club, les made a comment at the start of pre season that he was looking to bring players in who he could sell on if they proved a to be good as he see's tranmere as a club that needs transfer fees from good players as we have always done in the past to survive.
