Tranmere have announced today that the loan deal for defender Liam Darville has been extended and will now keep the youngster at the Club until January 2011 having previously only signed for a month long deal at the start of the new season.....

There was more transfer activity of sorts at Prenton Park this afternoon as Rovers announced that Leeds United defender Liam Darville, originally on loan at Prenton Park for a month, has had his loan extended and he will now be at the Club until January 2011.
The 19 year old right back who is a product of Leeds United's youth academy system, has so far started all three games of the new campaign for Tranmere and impressed in the 0-0 away draw at Huddersfield Town last Saturday so this news will be greeted with positivity by most Rovers fans.
With Timothy Cathalina due back soon from injury after playing ninety minutes for the Reserves on Tuesday night against Macclesfield Reserves, there is sure to be competition for places which is to Rovers Manager Les Parry's advantage.
Speaking of Darville's extended deal, Parry told the Official Tranmere Rovers Website.........
"Liam has done really well since he joined us on loan and I'm pleased to have extended his stay here until January."
"He's a bright, young footballer with plenty of ability and potential who has fitted in brilliantly since he arrived."
"I'd like to thanks Leeds United manager Simon Grayson for allowing him to stay with us."
Meanwhile it is also rumoured that Rovers are set to offer deals to Adam McGurk and Lucas Atkins who also both appeared in the midweek Reserve defeat but with McGurk in particular impressing so stay tuned to Total Tranmere for future developments with these players.

Good move, considering the last two performances and it gives the club added stability, not having some short-term players moving in and out, when there's some sort of team bonding coming together on the pitch.

Quite pleased with this. He took a couple of games to settle, but got better with each one and was superb against Huddersfield. How did he do vs. Bournemouth?

He was awful against bournemouth was far too easily beaten by the left midfielder constantly out of position and a liability along with wood.

Have to agree with Mart.
Having been told he wasn't all that good in the opening two games I missed, I was quite impressed with him at Huddersfield last week but on Saturday he wasn't great.
Having said though it applies to almost every player in the side that they were good v Hudds and awful on Saturday - not just Darville!
