After weather reports that suggested that the whole weekend would be wet, in the end it was dry but it was cold at times especially for those who haven't a coat with them for the duration of the game.

Crowd

5,421 fans were inside Prenton Park for this game with more tans than usual following the visitors to Prenton Park, perhaps because of their decent start they have had to the season.

Referee Watch

Nigel Miller (Co. Durham) - Perhaps the most shocking and inept performance by a referee at Prenton for some time with his assistants no better either.  To think thatone penalty decision was missed earlier in the second half was bad enough but the foul on Showumni late on was at blatant as they come and rightfully the officials were booed off - 2/10

Best Moment

The goal that Rovers fully deserved was a great moment when it finally happened but there were other moments of note in the game too including Enoch's curliing shot that looked destined for goal but struck the post and rebounded as well as Jennings' late run and chance.

Worst Moment

Conceding at a time when niether team were on top was a real blow but the worst moment of all was the decision by the referee not to award one of the most blatant penalties you're likely to see for a trip on Enoch Showumni.

Tranmere Man of the Match

Lucas Akins - Showumni played really well yet again upfront in the second half whilst John Welsh was excellent in midfield but based on a brilliant second half performance, Lucas Akins edges the Man of the Match award from me.

Connections

Alan Navarro is currently a member of the Brighton and Hove Albion squad but was not in the squad for this game against his former employers.

Rovers Fans

The Lower Kop seemed busier than usual and at times there was decent noise coming from there particularly when Rovers kept pressing as the second half went on.
