Following Saturday afternoon's superb 4-2 home win over Milton Keynes Dons at Prenton Park on Saturday afternoon, Les Parry was delighted with the performance of his Rovers side and praised striker Dale Jennings in particular as the youngster bagged a brace and won the penalty for Ian Thomas-Moore to convert....
Les Parry was delighted with the performance of his side in the 4-2 home win over Milton Keynes Dons on Saturday afternoon and was full of praise for both goalscorers Dale Jennings and Ian Thomas-Moore with the youngster Jennings in particular gettin praise from the Manager.
Speaking to Tranmere Player earlier, Les Parry said....
"It was a highly entertaining game, not always for the right reasons. But everything has got to go into the melting pot to produce something like that and everything did."
"I said to Kevin that we need to take Dale off because if anyone is
watching they'll offer us a couple of million pounds. Just the fact that
Karl took the full back off after 25 minutes says everything."
"You can't stop Dale because he'll chop and he'll change and he'll come in and go out again. That's one of his problems, he goes in and out once too often, but everyone can see what sort of prospect he is."
Bakayogo was Dismissed for Two Yellow Cards
"We had a little word with Dale yesterday saying that he hasn't made the keeper make a save for a few weeks. He's had a lot of twisty turny things but no end product. Today he showed the end product."
"Goalscorers score the goal Ian scored. They're not easy. Going through at an angle, pulling the keeper and slotting it isn't easy. Ian is a goalscorer and that's what we're looking for him to do."
"I'm a little bit annoyed with Zoom. It's no secret when the referee throws a yellow card in your face that you've been booked, so you've then got to change your game a little bit. The second booking was a booking...he shouldn't have put the tackle in. At 4-1 the last thing we needed was an open game. Suddenly we've got 10 v 10, a big pitch with lots of spaces and we've got to defend."

As Les said, Zoum was silly but nobody will suffer more than him, all season this start took him..
Still wish he could devlop more potent heading ability. He could be on about nine or ten in all competitions, if he'd bene a little more clinical with his head, but I can't really fault him this season.
Tranmere now look like a team, that can score goals. I think even if the game had ended eveven on eleven and Dons had given a little more I think it could still have been 3-1 or 3-2. I don't think it would have bene drawn.
Hopefully this scoring potential and increased attacking telepathy, can hopefully increase the average number of goals.
However Bakayogo needs to curb his petulence.
I like Darville and think mostly he's been good, but his lack of experience due to age, has sometimes hindered his ability to be a consistant player, but I'm sure that part of his game will come good for him, in the next 2-3 years, as well as an increase in playing skill too.
The only person I think has been a bit of a washout this season was Kayleden Brown. I didn't think he stunk like Kithson Bain, but he was just so-so.
I'm hoping Morrow will come good and I think he needs more more pitch time, (where he can get it), to prove himself.
Injury and a limited pitch time haven't shown the best of him I think, so I won't negatively judge him much at the moment.
Sad isn't it that DAle will be on his bike for a few quid eventually.
Though on current form and the points situation in League 1 right now, that will be when Tranmere are in the Championship and can get 12,500,000 for him, like Southampton got for Walcott
.I'm sure it was twice at least last season (Charlton and ????) and now in his first League start this time around.
Thought he did very well though after me not being too impressed with him in pre-season and Reserves.
