dale Jennings

he ran the Mk dons player ragged all afternon.

dale jennings without a shadow of doubt.

Jennings, Moore and Gulacsi all contenders amongst others but I went for Dale in the end!

Broomes had a really good game for his first game back after injury and Cathalina was decent too considering the reports from the reserves.

Could of gone to Gulacsi, Cathalina, Broomes, Zoom, Welsh, Labadie or Dale, no easy choice..

im with mikey... obviously the kid takes it today though..
also enoche.. he worked the line so well today excellent work rate.. all his work allowed alot of what ITM and Jenno done

Definitely Jennings. He score two and set one up. Basically he was responsible for three of the four goals. He'd get it for me.

Agreed but equally Gulacsi was responsible for 4 absolutely superb saves, which, like Jennings goals, won us the game, so how do you seperate them?!

Defence is more important than attack. You can score and end up pointless but you can't keep a clean sheet and end up empty handed...

(Don't get me wrong I'm not saying Dale didn't deserve it, he was fantastic today but for the first time this season Gulacsi was genuinely outstanding)

I agree on Gulacsi, plus he was stellar against Stockport in the shootout.

I'm pleased he's done these things. He was given some stick for a few games this season. Shame about the little gaff against Charlton, because I think he wass good that game despite it.

just a comment from an armchair supporter who depends on radio or bbc text to follow the games, a whil back we had Gary Jones, I lived away and followed the games in a similar way and the amount he was involved in was amazing ! similarly now we have Joss ! no frills but so mutch graft ! and hope we can keep him fit as the oposition seem to try any means to stop the lad, not saying contender for mom but due great credit for his work behind the scenes so to speak

Agreed on Broomes too, I should have mentioned him in the first place as well as a contender.

Great result just two points that were on the down side one the soft second goal we let in and Bakayogo getting a second yellow followed by the red just as he`s back in the side ahead of Cresswell do not get me wrong nothing wrong with Cresswell but I like Zoom in the side let`s hope we can follow it up with a win at Carlisle on Tuesday and start climbing that table.
As for a man of the match Broomes played well Gulacsi gets better and ITM and Showunmi up front but it has to be Dale Jennings scored two got the peno for ITM to slot away
I see Dale Jennings as number 21 on the field of play but if he continues like he has started I feel that Peter Johnson will see ££££££££££££££££££ notes on the back of his shirt and he will be spirited away by some one flashing ££££££```s it seems it might be sooner than later but I hope we can keep him for another year or two and get
a better deal both in money up front and sell off % on any further dealings all this is speculation but when you see him play he certainly has some gift in them feet time will tell but I bet the vultures(best I could do) will be sitting on top of the John King stand.

Twop options if he got sold.

1. Large upfront fee.

2. Decent fee with a further installment on appearances. I'd personally hope that would be on a pretty small number of games like 20, not more like 100,

There could even be a clause, permitting a percentage of a further selling fee from the buying club, given to Tranmere, so if he moved at some point to a third club, Tranmere would get a little slice of the money.

I think the usual amount on those is 10% of the fee the buying club makes, when they sell to the next club.

It would be interesting if Tranmere could even get £1,000,000, (hopefully more though), for Jennings in a couple of years, because if he was then sold on for as much as £5,000,000+, Tranmere would get in 4-5 years time, a £500,000+ amount.

I'm pretty certain such contractual clauses are still permissible.

I remember Andrei Kanchelskis getting into a bit of trouble for that when he moved to Everton, because Man United were supposed to give his former club in the Ukraine, a little of the money due to a sell-on clause and Ferguson claimed it was rubbish and Man United didn't have to.

I think the courts ruled in favour of the Ukranian club in the end.

Most clubs and players, and probably agents have some sort of 'sell on clause' added to the contracts in transfer situations.
Rovers got bit by one a few years ago, when in one instance the said player would play international football for England. Rovers would get an additional sum per appearence.
However said player went on to play for Northern Ireland.
Hence leaving Rovers with nothing.

There was the most dubious of all transfer deals this club has ever been involved with.
When Steve Simmenson went to Everton for a record deal. there was so many sell on clauses that the initial fee was small. Unfortunately Simmo never played. because every time he played the club would of recieved a certain amount depending on appearences etc.

Some much so, that the club never recieved anywhere near the transfer fee.
The club have never been the most astute on selling their gifted youngsters. and on several occasions the club have really sold short (Dagnell etc.)

I can only echo what has already been said above. There were a few contenders for the man of the match on Saturday but I'd probably go for Dale Jennings. He excited the crowd whenever he had the ball and took his goals really well. He would closely be followed by Peter Gulasci and Marlon Broomes for me, though all 11 played extremely well.
