Tranmere Rovers travel to Carlisle Utd in nPower League One on Tuesday evening, so for all the latest news and match updates, and all the pre, during and post-match discussion, don't forget to check out our Match Discussion thread............

For those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, particularly the high number of costly and time consuming southern away games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread on the Site for every Rovers game.
The thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match analysis.
Where possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game.
Tranmere of course travel to Carlisle United in nPower League One on Tuesday evening so if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on.
Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.
You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.
What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.
Admin staff will try and add the team and updates on the game onthis thread where possible but these details are updated also on our Twitter Page throughout the game so if you're not following us already why not do so at www.twitter.com/totaltranmere.

If zoom hadn't got himself sent off I'd be going for a win. As it is we're exposed on the left so I'm going for a 1-1 draw. Hopefully Jennings will play a blinder and prove me wrong.

never much liked this fixture.......... be interesting to see who plays left back ! side shown above............ poss but would need fraughn in as a left sided player for cover.............Sill think we'll pinch it tho

A disappointing result we need to bounce back quickly with two more tricky away games to come quickly.

2-0 yes, but I don't think it's all that dissapointing. 12 shots, with 6 on target, 2 Penalty saves by Gulasci, two Moore penalties saved as well.
For me, this is better than going there and having about 2 shots on target out of 6 or 7 chances and looking tame.
They scored either side of the half and if the Moore first penalty had have gone in, it could have been so different.
For me quite a few positives and it reaffirms my belief that Tranmere are now a more open team, who can climb up the table and do better than last season.
The defeat is a bummer, but the manner of the defeat actually has some positives and pride to take out of it, whereas some defeats this season have had little to no good points at all.
At least this result showed heart, character and some creativity and I'm sure the team will get over this and move upwards to better league placings.
Just a shame it's 11 days until the next chance to for a league game. Two difficult cup matches to play so hopefully they will be good preperation for Plymouth, with positive outcomes to help rstore confidence, because despite the scoreline tonight, the team shouldn't feel disheartened, as this was far away from a Bournemouth or a Brentford style defeat.

I switched off the radio when the second went in, it was a bore to listen to and I was satisfied that nothing would change. I turned to the Spurs game to watch football and some skill.

Good for you, give yourself a pat on the back as you obviously think you deserve one! I don't think you'll be getting any compliments from any other Tranmere fans though.
As for the game, I thought it sounded like we did ok. It sounded like we had loads of chances to score but just couldn't take them. Final half an hour in particular sounded like we hammered them but just couldn't take the chances we had.

Dissapointing to lose obviously but more importantly I just hope confidence doesen't just go from the players now. If we were to lose on saturday and then at Bury, we will find ourselves out of every competition and on the back of three straight defeats.
of course this may not happen and we could nick a replay on saturday, I just have this fear that with young players confidence may just go. We need a run in the league of a few wins and a few draws otherwise we are never going to get out of trouble. After the positivity of recent results, last night I rekon was a reality check and a reminder to some that we are still in trouble.

After Saturdays result against MKDons we went to Carlisle with confidence high and expecting at least a draw from the game. However, this was not to be but the good points override the bad from the teams display. A number of chances should have been taken but were not.If the pen had gone in it would have made a big difference but the goalkeeper chose to dive the right way a rare miss by Ian Moore.Martin Broomes was the best of the Tranmere side followed close by Gulasci who had another good game.

Didn't deserve too lose, at all. Just couldn't take our chances.
Better tema by far till we had the penalty, after ITM missed we were sloppy for the remainder of the second half, then once Carlisle got their second we were the better team until the last 5 minutes.
If we'd scored that penalty we'd probably have won. Perhaps stating the obvious but we were so much better than them until that!
Also missed far too many chances in the second half, Enoch, Labadie (I think) and ITM all missed from 8 yards or so.
