By Deadly Submarine
November 5 2010
Tranmere Rovers travel about far as they possibly could have on Saturday to face Bournemouth in the first round of this season's FA Cup, so for all the latest news and match updates, and all the pre, during and post-match discussion, don't forget to check out our Match Discussion thread............

Copyright Historical Football Kits and reproduced by kind permission.
For those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, particularly the high number of costly and time consuming southern away games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread on the Site for every Rovers game.
The thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match analysis.
Where possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game.

Tranmere of course travel to face fellow League One side Bournemouth inthe first round of the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon so if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on.
Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.
You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.
What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.
Admin staff will try and add the team and updates on the game on this thread where possible but these details are updated also on our Twitter Page throughout the game so if you're not following us already why not do so at www.twitter.com/totaltranmere.

PARRY OUT!!!!!!!!!
Any thoughts on final score ?
Is Johnson there ?? THis club should wind up.

Writing this listening to commentary from my sick bed.
I'm reading the updates on sky's website, deep in the bowels of Gloucester Police Station's underbelly.... it's a quite day, thankfully!
Game is now on!

3-3 now!!! ITM!!!
The Parry out calls a bit premature???
Anyone for a superwhite 4th?

Feel For Joe, sounded like a few from close range not sure he was protected very well, all in all not too upset at the result, and it will have honed a couple of the lads a bit more
Plus the first goal from what I read seemed a bit flukey. Getting a deflection off Goodison, hitting a post, rolling along the line and getting poked in.
Two defeats in a row, seems the little mini revival is over.
I do think possibly the switch to 4-4-2 might have been an issue, as they'd gotten 2 back by then and Jennings on the wing is necessarily a good move. It may have made no difference anyway if they'd stuck with 4-3-3 though.
Plymouth, Hartlepool, Exeter, Notts County and Leyton Orient are not strong teams this season and this is a chance to progress up the table. Hopefully Jennings will be okay for next week.

Every ball is a white ball............TRFC
Can't say I was enjoying it much after 7 minutes as it could have easily got worse before the keeper gifted us a goal but to come back to 3-3 and then lose was unbeleivable.
I even text a mate near the end and said despite it being 5-3 it somehow didn't feel in my mind like we two goals behind but that soon sank in on the way home
As for the game, Enoch was once again terrible just as he was at Carlisle in midweek but I've heard that he was a doubt to even start on Tuesday due to fitness/injury which begs the question why he started either game.
Cresswell who was also poor on Tuesday (but again due to not being fully fit), had a better game yesterday but did gift them the vital fourth goal with a sloppy pass/control.
The biggest blow was losing Jennings to what looked like a knee injury although he did walk off and didn't leave by stretcher so hopefully it's not too bad.
In summary we just didn't wake up and after gifting them the first through terrible defending their confidence grew and they scored two decent enough other goals (the third in particular was excellent).
Cresswell's set piece and Goodys header gave us hope at half-time and as the second half began - to credit our players - we went for it (bringing Akins on for Blanchard) and got the leveller which we maybe just about deserved if only for the way we started the second half.
Man of the Match for me despite the scoreline was Marlon Broomes who was excellent again and since his return from injury has really looked good.
Just hoping now that Bournemouth get Brigthon or someone away from home - a game we won't be sorry to have missed out on now we're out.

One plus point... we won the last 83 minutes 3-2! Just a pity about the first seven.
