Big Week Ahead as Total Tranmere Remembers St Yates!

We look ahead to an exciting week at Total Tranmere as we spend all of this week celebrating the tenth anniversary of what Rovers fans affectionately call St Yates's Day - the day that Tranmere travelled to Goodison Park and won 3-0 in the FA Cup.........

As any true Rovers fan will know, this Thursday, the 27th January, marks the tenth anniversary of a special moment in the history of the Club and all this week we will be celebrating the occasion with a number of features and articles looking back at the day 'little' Tranmere Rovers went to Goodison Park to face Everton in the FA Cup and humiliated their hosts 3-0 thanks to a goal from Jason Koumas and two from the man now known as St Yates.

Defender Steve Yates was the hero that day with two headed goals and from then on the anniversary of that memorable day has been known as St Yates's Day.

We have a number of special features on the site this week to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the feat so make sure you keep checking back to the Site all week for hopefully some of the biggest features the site has been involved in to date including a look back at the game and the day itself as part of a new addition to our long-running Classic Rovers feature.
