Tranmere Rovers host Sheffield Wednesday tonight in N Power League One, so for all the latest news and match updates, and all the pre, during and post-match discussion, don't forget to check out our Match Discussion thread............

HEADERNEW - matchdiscussion

For those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, particularly the high number of costly and time consuming southern away games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread on the Site for every Rovers game.

The thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match analysis.

Where possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game.

Fans at Bristol Rovers

Tranmere of course host Sheffield Wednesday tonight in N Power League One so if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on.

Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.

You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.

What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

Admin staff will try and add the team and updates on the game on this thread where possible but these details are updated also on our Twitter Page throughout the game so if you're not following us already why not do so at www.twitter.com/totaltranmere.

Using a superb win to have a go at a former player who gave lots of effort even when it seemed he was leaving??

Huge win. Six above relegation, nine off play-offs. Bring on Peterborough.

That was a good performance tonight. It certainly was not the best match in the world but we did what we haven't done so far this season and hit them when they were down. The ball spent far too much time in the air for my liking but when we did eventually get it down, we scored which said everything about the game.

Didn't see the sending off although the ref seemed pretty sure it was a sending off. The goal that followed from the resulting free kick basically killed the game but it was good to see us get a 3rd. Good performances all round except for Akins who was absolutely dreadful. I cannot understand why he plays because he adds absolutely nothing to the team.

Wednesday were absolutely shocking though, worst team since Walsall. Megson has got a massive job on his hands there and if they continue that way, they could be looking at league two next season. No service to the strikers all night, only threatened from a few set pieces.

It's funny that there have been a few discussions on this board recently about the money we have compared to other teams. I would say Wednesday's budget is fairly high so in comparison, were doing pretty well if we've got the lowest and I would rather be where we are than where they are.

What is it with people picking on Akins?

He had a difficult first half (but wasn't the only one) but created the first goal with a great bit of work and did really well second half on the whole.

I was right in line with the incident from the Main Stand and it didn't look a Red Card - yellow at best for me but who cares!

Great Win,

To say that Robinson and Zoom were two of our 'better' players last season, to see them on the bench, along with Weir, an international player and Mahon no where in sight shows how much Les has improved the squad.

Great job Les, good result Rovers, I just hope we can maintain it against Peterboro, Yeovil and Notts county and start moving up the league!

SWA!

Peterborough were a bit lucky to bag 2 ni the last 10 and win. As the gap to the Playoffs would have been 8 not 9 if they'd drawn.

Tranmee before thenight game, actually had 9 points in 6. Peterborough and Colchester had 7 from 6, so Tranmere's form quide was better.

Tranmer beat Peterborough and also have Lateef, Robbo, Kay and McChrystal and Warner in the team which they didn't last time and if Jennings plays he wasn't in the team last time either.

They had a few injuries last time, I think one was McClean but he's not there now, so they won't be able to have him.

Apart from their home advantage, all these things should make Tranmere more able to win than last time. 12th would be good, with 8 teams between them and the relegation zone, especially if the gap increased to 9 points.

We'd be 11th anyway if we hadn't conceeded such stupid late goals to Walsall and Rochdale, purely through lack of concentration (although Walsall we stopped trying too.)

Brilliant win. Still hoofing it too much. Would love to see the keeper pass it to Cresswell and Kay abit more and build attacks from the back. Lads are good enough to play a bit more football from the back, rather than lumping it. Just mix it up a bit rather than doing the one dimensional hoof ball.

We have a decent squad now. It was the same as last season. We spend the first half of the season going through alot of players and then around about this time of year we manage to secure the better loan players till the end of the season. Think this is the way it is going to be in the future as unfortunately we will have to start from scratch again in the summer sorting contracts loans etc. Just wish we could build with the players we currently have!! Well done Les for getting these players in.

Thought Atkins had his best game last night. I have not been his biggest fan, but he looked ok last night

Last night was such an odd game. I was so annoyed until we scored, I could see they were there for the taking but our approach play was shocking. We just kept hoofing the ball forward, had no ideas and barely had a shot in the first half. However I was also not concerned about conceding, I thought defensively we looked solid, and they didn't really create either. I thought it had 0-0 written all over it.

Then we score out of the blue, obviously gained confidence and saw the game out. lateef has been brillaint for us, and Enoch worked his socks off again, made up he got rewarded with a goal.

Sorry Eddie and Sub, Akins was awful. I don't want to end on a bad note but the guy can't do anything right, he even runs weirdly and looks like he could fall over at any time. I lost count the amount of times he gave the ball away when a simple pass was on, or the ball got stuck under his feet. It annoys me he plays when we have got Robbo on the bench. Apart from that great result, would be brilliant if we could keep this going, Peterborough is going to be extremely tough though.

Just seen highlights of the match on BBC on line. At the match from where I was, in the town paddock, I thought the sending off looked very harsh, but from the other side you could see Coke dive in with 2 feet off the ground and the ref was in the right position to see it, very bad tackle. So now I don't feel sorry for the lad.

COME ON YOU MIGHTY WHITES(Sm44)

Just seen the tackle again on the highlights and I take it back - it's a red card in my opinion!
