Another day another loss. We're now dropping like a stone! I can't help making envious glances toward Poyet and thinking what would have happened if we'd kept faith in a young and innovative manager.

thought u wud make a reappearance sumtime, do us all a favour and go away.

yet another point dropped is costing us dear we should be comfotably mid table looking up instead of looking down, we need to win saturday to make things more comfortable as we have a tricky march ahead

No offence intended ot anyone with this, but we lose to a late goal and lose the previous one with an own goal. Before that the team went five games unbeaten and lost 1 in 8.

Personally I'm not seeing a lot of incompetence here, with a 1 in 8 loss record. In what way are the management responsible for Enoch getting an acccidental own goal? Could they be teaching him to shoot better with his head and not getting it quite right?

How is it incompetence by management if the players don't deal with a corner properly? Did Les shout some encouragement at the the wrong moment and put a couple of players off?

Funny how the exact same result happened at Brentford last season. Labadie scores, then a late winner away, but the team wasn't incompetent then was it? When they had a hideous goal difference and less points than they will have by the end of this season.

Frankly Brentford are stuffy and deserved at best a point. Peterborough are stuffy and never deserved to win.

I'm just feeling a bit sick that those rum dogs got away with it again.

Brentford are fast becoming another Swindon. I hope they badly lose at the weekend and Tranmere total Yeovil and get back ahead of them.

As for young ambitious managers, they cost money and that's as good as saying Les and Kevin are not ambitious and are quite happy to settle for the minimum acceptable achievement, which I don't belive for a moment.

Frankly if some fans want a more expensive manager and players at the club, they should find a way to put another £1,000,000 into the clubs finances every season, or get real.

Until LES, (not some expensive guy who walks in, potentially wastes good money and leaves without feeling that sorry about the mess caused), gets decent cash and not necessarily from Yanks who might screw the club over, then Tranmere can get decent form, but not the kind of form that will make them do what Poyet is doing.

You think Poyet would be doing so well with less than £1,500 a week to pay most new signings, knowing players like Ankergren were probably 4-6 x more expensive than he could afford?

Face it, Poyet would potentially be lower down the table than Les, if he had as much money to spend as teams like Torquay probably do.

Alternatively if Les had the money to get players like Kishishev and Sandaza, he might be in the top 6 now and rather than just dismiss that as absolutely not possible, at least give the thought 1% acceptance .

The management are not perfect, but right now the poor budget and a tonne of injuries earlier in the season, would NOT get the team in a significantly better league position, no matter who was in charge and if you want an expensive manager, then get Curbishley and wonder why you're doing badly, when his bumper salary means he has to work with the same money as Kettering and gets a team of valiant also-rans, only 60% the standard of league 1 players, that give 110%, for their 30 league points.

Then you go down, bin him, poach some non-league manager and use the saved salary and money from 3,800 fans a game, to give him what Macclesfield can spend.

I'd be happy to kick Les to the curb practically, if he had Poyets money and still signed Akins and McGurk, but I bet if Poyet had Les's money and was just above the drop zone, some of his fans wouldn't round on him for every little thing they didn't like and wish they'd had Paul Jewell instead.

Well said Matt, people need to get real with what we are able to achieve, we don't want to end up like Plymouth, apparantly Bristol Rovers are also on the brink of administration, come the glorious day when the premiership implodes, foreign banks pull the plug, Sky loses exclusive broadcasting rights, players and managers are paid a reasonable wage for what they do, and the game is given back to the fans, we will look back and thank the board for not allowing us to go into massive debt, we will still be around.
Noticed Wrexham chairman has offered the club to the fans, any chance of PJ following suit?

listend to the match and it sounded as tho we played well ! a bad result ! but with the lads playing erll I can live with that, for me the only bad point was Cresser going off ! any news ?? we'll need him back and with Joss out for 2 matches DON't want Les to have to start reshuffling again

Problem we had in the first half, and in particular was hanging off their lads and allowing them to pass the ball round. Don't get me wrong, Brentford looked avery decent passing team and held the ball up much better than us. Notwithstanding, we came out firing in the second half and Joss' goal was an absolute peach. Last minute goal was always looking likely however as we had clearly settled for a draw with a good 15 minutes to go, which was a shame given that prior to this we were pushing forward quite well.

We made Brentford look a good attacking team, we were to deep and made it easy for them.

Fair play to them, they outplayed us first half but it was easy. Knock it around their defence forcing one of our five man midfield to come out of position to help Enoch chase the ball, this leaves one of their midfielder's free who could then recieve the ball, run at our defence or get the ball out wide and they got crosses in. It only took them what, 70 seconds to do that successfuly for the first goal.

Akins and Lateef were wasted tonight, don't think Akins was great but they were to wide, if we'd of played a proper 4-3-3 we could of won, don't think they were particuarly great defensively and if we'd really pressed we'd of won.

How either of the "wingers" lasted the full 90 with Robbo on the bench I'll never know.

Interesting to see Wier getting the nod from Les rather than Robbo last night.

I would have personally preferred to see Robbo out right and pushing Akins in to play alongside Enoch to put more pressure upon their central defence which I thought looked a bit rocky at times.

Overall impression was that after a horrendous start (probably not helped by the delayed kick-off) the team could not be faulted for effort but lacked creativity and fluidity going forward. Ash Taylor needs to practice making accurate mid-range passes rather than relying on the big hit and hope lump forward if he is going to develop as a midfielder. I would also suggest that Tony Warner needs to be more vocal with his defence. I was suprised how quiet he was in the first half.

The players are told to hoof the ball and try to win throw ins, thats what our game plan revolves around.

Ash doesn't just hoof it from the k.o every game from his own initiative, they're instructed to do so.

That's what a lot of league one teams seem to do as well though, get it up to the forward players.

Apparently Les said on the site, he was going to bring off Labadie for Robbo, but just when he was about 60 seconds from getting the chance to make that change, Labadie scored, so I think he had a change of mind.

Maybe he thought the impetus gained from scoring, might have been lost a little by making a change, though he was being somewhat mindful of Joss's potential to get a 2 game ban, but it wouldn't have looked good when Labadie scored, if Les had then taken him off, as it wouldn't have made Labadie feel great.

I do wonder though if the Yeovil result doesn't work out quite as well as it could do, how many people will just complain badly, instead of think well Labadie was suspended and Cresswell was injured, so that might have had some bearing on it, because unfortunately some fans aren't great when it comes to rationalising results.

Hopefully Robbo might be finally oveer his calf niggle come the weekend and can get out there and eat Yeovil .

It could be about time Robbo was let of the leash(if fully fit) Les states the Robbo has the skill to win matches as he stated last season when Robbo was signed on via Les Aid and Les wished at the time he could have signed Robbo for longer
but could not afford him and I think it could have been the match last night for Robbo to on from the start or at least most of the second half instead of Akins so come Les lets get at Yeovil from the start we need a win on Saturday(ATTACK)

It was inevitably going to take time for Robbo to get match fit.The problem is that that time is extended if he is not played.For minutes on the pitch he is proving expensive.

Akin just does not do it for me and I would rather have Robinson playing himself back to fitness on the pitch.

There has to be an issue with concentration when you look at how often we concede in the last couple of minutes.It is one of the reasons that I dislike L.P's tendency to look at defending points rather than taking the game to the opposition.Mistakes are more likely then to be made in less threatening areas

Got to ask why is Robbo on the bench if he has a calf injury?

He cant run anyway so no chance if he is injured

Well he did have a slight niggle, but depndin on what it is, it might be something he could play with if he wasn't pushing himself too much and for too long.

I'm sure Les is aware of what Robbos situation is and whether he is workable at all or not. After all he might not have been physio for several months now, but I doubt it's one of those use it lose kind of scenarios, where his understanding of injury, slowly ebbs away every day he is not treating someone.

I mean can a physio ever become too old and past their best like players can? Well I suppose if they got bad eyesight or arthritis problems.

I suppose you'd know you had a major problem, if Les insisted he'd like a few minutes assessing Cresswell and then started rubbing Steve Walker

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
