Mark Ridgway reports on Tranmere's 1-0 home defeat to Yeovil Town in N Power League One yesterday after a dismal performance in front of a bumper crowd at Prenton Park.....

Tranmere lost their third game on the bounce as Yeovil stole the points at Prenton Park today with a 1-0 victory.
Over 8,000 fans were inside Prenton Park, but Oli Johnson sealed the points for the visitors on 77 minutes with a lob after a mix up in Rovers back line.
Rovers Manager Les Parry was forced into two changes from the last game, Tuesday's away defeat at Brentford, with Joss Labadie suspended for two games and Aaron Cresswell out injured after going off during the defeat in London.
The Rovers starting line-up therefore looked like this.....
Warner
Kay Goodison McChrystal Bakayogo
Akins Welsh Taylor Weir Elford-Aliyu
Showumni
During an uneventful first half, Rovers only chance came when Lateef Elford-Alliyu smashed a volley into the side netting from Ash Taylor's ball over the top.
The same player came closer after the break, Elford-Alliyu’s low drive had to be tipped around the post by Glover’s keeper Stephen Henderson.
Enoch Showunmi was next to be left frustrated when his header beat Henderson, but his volley trickled agonisingly wide.
In the end, the points belonged to Yeovil however, when Tony Warner’s header was mis-controlled by Michael Kay, and Johnson stole in to lob over everyone and into the net.
Tranmere put pressure on the Yeovil goal late on, with Elford-Alliyu coming closest, but he could only find the side netting with his low effort.

John Welsh
Showing great desire to drive the team on, was involved in most of Rovers good work with Lateef, the pair of them were unlucky not to find the net.
