Copyright Historical Football Kits and reproduced by kind permission.
For those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, particularly the high number of costly and time consuming southern away games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread on the Site for every Rovers game.
The thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match analysis.
Where possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game.

Tranmere of course host Bristol Rovers in N Power League One on Tuesday but if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on.
Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.
You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.
What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.
Admin staff will try and add the team and updates on the game on this thread where possible but these details are updated also on our Twitter Page throughout the game so if you're not following us already why not do so at www.twitter.com/totaltranmere.

Still 18th tho ! be an interesting price sat for Rovers win !
If I performed like that in my job I'd be sacked!
It's a miracle we're not glued to the bottom of the league playing like that?
As the man said in Dodgeball ... You look like a gang of retards trying to f**k a doorknob!
And Les??? Don't get me started, he's as much use as a c**k flavoured lolipop!!!
Take Wycombe at home last season and multiply it by ten, you're now close to the level of ineptness shown today.
We are playing Bristol Rovers at home FFS and we pack the midfield like we were playing Barca.
Les pre-match "We're going for the win" "We won't settle for less than 3 points" - yet we still insist on setting up like we're playing against world beaters.
Fair play to Brizzle - they were decent you know, played some good football - whether that was because they were lifted or we were so poor we allowed them to, probably a bit of both. At least they had the team spirit and determination needed, they'll probably stay up.

I would argue still that they are one of the worse sides at Prenton Park this season and it's a worry that despite that we still can't win.
However aside from Ash Taylor, which players do you fault tonight? It was a scrappy game but I still think we played alright in parts.
Still four clear of relegation too which shows how well we have done of late to pull away.
Havign said that we couldn't have asked for a worse follow-up game I suppose.
We were abysmal. Totally lacking ideas and any type of strategy and if we keep playing that way not only are we going to be in trouble but were gonna have no fans left either with financially will leave us even further up the creek!!
Why do we play 451 at home, I just don't get it. Fair play to Les for changing it but we just didn't have a clue what to do with it. Robbo was trying his best top create something but what can you do when the ball is constantly hit over your head. Our lack of ideas and indeed lack of tactics is starting to really annoy me especially when away from home we keep picking up points and we can't do anything at home.
I think Les' days are numbered to be honest, the dwindling home support will surely push the point. I believe he has done good things this season especially with the players he has brought in but his lack of any type of tactics is starting to pull the team down. I think we've got good players but they have absolutely no direction from the manager and that's the issue.
I don't think I can take another home game like that, it's starting to get me down. To think i was worried because we have 5 away games this month, well now I'm more worried about the fact we've got 5 home games next month!!!

I thought we played OK at times tonight but with no end product and they were worse (OK maybe on a par with us if I'm being fair to them).
I would argue still that they are one of the worse sides at Prenton Park this season and it's a worry that despite that we still can't win.

They had determination, passion, and they played football. If they play like that for the rest of that season they'll be safer than most cars in Bootle.
I would fault every player tonight except Showunmi, Zoom and Robbo - but the main fault lies with the "manager"
No wins in six and the fixtures are coming thick and fast and they ain't easy. Other teams have momentum, we don't. Only think we have in our favour is a decent enough goal difference for a team in this situation.
If I had to pay for my own ST their is no way I'd be renewing next season without changes - and thats not just based on tonight.

Fair play to them! Experienced it enough times ourselves this year when opposition fans (even Managers.. a la Lee Clark) don't praise you enough for the way you played. I think Bristol did well tonight, maybe if we were as good as Southampton we'd have won.. but we ain't.

having a little flutter on the game Saturday
Quote:Stats ! well just checked Tranmere Rovers SIX corners, Bristol Rovers ONE ! see conclusive proof !Mikey
No, they had 12 attempts we had 9. Most of ours were from long range though because we couldn't break them down - which was mainly caused by us not getting enough bodies forward.
You lot are making out your barca?
I was there tonight and i think your the poorest team ive seen all season
we where the better team admit it
i tink the 4 to goo dowb will be
Tranmere
Dag&red
Plymouth
swindon
Tranmere won't go down, I'm still convinced of that.
I liked the way incidentally, Robbo appeared to be justifying himself more tonight, which is encouraging.
The way we play and our tactics are just totally wrong why did we play with a holding midfielder against a team who had lost 8 out of their last 9 games we do we insist in hoofing the ball upfield, the amount of times mcchrystal cresswell weir & taylor launched the ball was embarrasing.
Its all very well and good saying were still 4 points away from the bottom 4 but weve now not won in 6 weve got just 2 points in that time and scored 4 goals and other teams below us are starting to pick up wins, and most likely after saturday it will be 7 games without a win.
Something needs to be done and quickly before we drop into the bottom 4.
Kay is a good right back, weir isn't!!!!
As for Bristol Rovers Luke, I already said last night that they are one of the worst sides to visit Prenton Park this season and will probably go down (with any luck as I detest their poxy Stadium)

well did suspect ! they sack their manager !
Still 18th tho ! be an interesting price sat for Rovers win !
you are suggesting that they upped their game owing to a new manager.
Shouldn't we do the same ?
THeir manager plays football, he's a footballer.
Parry had no game plan . Some manager who says he'll have to wait to see how they play !!! THe players didn't know what to bloody do from the outset.
Notts Country for free ? tHe place should be empty.

Has weir got something in his loan deal that says he has to play? He is supposed to be a midfielder.
Kay is a good right back, weir isn't!!!!
Manager !!!!
wall and we could not break it down and to add to we were p**s poor that night
and even if we played till the cows come home we could not score mainly I think we were playing to Les`s master plan of hoof it up the field so in time they( Yeovil) would pinch it,
so now we come to Bristol now they did not set up the brickwall in fact given the state of the pitch they passed the ball around in fact whenthey passed it around it went to a player in yellow most of the time(something those in white seem to fail at)not only that they seem to have the nack of running into spaces and taking the ball to the other end of the pitch with out getting snow on it were as all we seem to do is again Les`s master plan of hoof it up the field (it`s getting so bad John Lennon`s air traffic control has placed a no fly zone over Prento Park)so were was passion the go get it win it for the shirt on your back Bristol had it is their a players revolt in the dressing room after all it was only Bristol(no disrespect to Bristol they did their job)but as a Tranmere fan for over 50 years last night effort must rank as one of the lowest ebb of my years watching the Tranmere if you were to score out of a scale of one to twenty it would have slipped of the radar into minus god knows possible it would be not able to record it sorry Les things will have to change losing to a good side and our selves playing well is one thing but that last night was not
it does now look that the trap door
is openingWarner, Welsh/zoom/robbo/enoch (worked hard but just not the quality)
tactics awful no need for holding midfielder tonight at all.
Players/management both at fault for the performance. Tactics were off but more importantly players lacked the desire/fight/brains on the pitch. As a player you should know how to play more than kick it anywhere.
Finishing was horrific we had chances but their keeper didn't have to make one half testing save.
Zoom for all his effort isn't really a creative spark on the left wing is he? at home where we needed to attack alliyu/akins should have got the nod.
Labadie a big player for us had a 'paul mclaren' game no energy no fight no tocuhes. very poor
One minor positive I thought robbo looked the classiest player on the pitch some good touches/runs and one of the few players who can control the ball.
Interesting post match comment from les about things being said by both players and management that will stay in the dressing room.... for me the management changed the system early enough but the players did not change their play. neither has an arguement in their defence.
Tough game saturday but lets hope we bounce back like we have in the past
Team i'd like to see; as tough away game 433 seems to work well.
Warner
Kay Goodi Mcchrystal Cresswell
Blanchard
Welsh Labadie (only because we have no one else to put in)
Alliyu Robinson
Enoch
I think we may see some vocal outbursts from fans if things carry on.
IMO, players can't express themselves as they are tied to instructions, and there is such fear of losing that they cannot play. There must surely be unrest in the dressing room.

U say youre poor you only beats us 1-0, we had injures. . What and we dint. Is the first time we have not filled a bench. We had 8 injuries. And still dominated uu. . League 2 for you!

You did very well to decipher this message written by someone from St Pauls estate.(everyone related to each other, duelling banjo's and all that) but we don't want to get embroiled in a war of words. Tell me who cares about the hole they call bristolwe all know there is only one true ROVERS, and we will avoid relegation.

True, Bristol Rovers will stay up; above 24th place that is, well one or two places above, then possibly go down.
