For those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, particularly the high number of costly and time consuming southern away games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread on the Site for every Rovers game.

The thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match analysis.

Where possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game.

Stadium - Tranmere Rovers (Day)

Tranmere of coursehost Colchester United in N Power League One on Saturday but if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on.

Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.

You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.

What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

Admin staff will try and add the team and updates on the game on this thread where possible but these details are updated also on our Twitter Page throughout the game so if you're not following us already why not do so at www.twitter.com/totaltranmere.

About time but we still had 11 men behind the ball after we scored, so frustrating at times!

After we scored they had a good spell as we sat back but we still came back into.

Thought we deserved it on the whole with Robinson my Man of the Match.

A vital win with the the other results around us. At times i thought we passed the ball around quite well on what was a poor pitch robbo & weir were very good n the ball.

At times we did ride our luck a bit with goodison & creswell both making headed goal line clearances and we were too deep quite a bit in the 2nd half but hopefully we can put in a decent show for the tv cameras at oldham and drag them even more into the relegation battle.

Robbo set up the goal which must be encouraging for him and I'm very glad to see the team finally winning again, without a referee chalking a good goal off for a stupid reason.

I'm not overly fussed about other teams winning, as it's mostly about what Rovers do not them. If Tranmere can win again next time against Oldham, then I think they will be able to gap at least one of the 3 teams behind them.

Plus with Robbo alledgedly training with them earlier in the season, could he be seen as the one that got away and could his insights into their team be of any use?

Were you in the referee's changing room after the game or something?! (Sm6)

Just kidding.. I do think their player should of been, at the very least, booked for that tackle on Robbo just after HT. Late, two footed, reckless and jumped into it!

When you look at the fixtures our run in combined with our form and inconsistency at home suggests that it will be very close.
Ideally we need 4 wins. Of the away games Oldham looks the best bet. On paper we could beat Nots C,Exeter,Swindon, and Dagenham, at home but on the evidence of the season we will drop some of these points and hence need one win from the away games.

I hope that Parry sets the team up to look for 3 rather than one point

Robbie Weir was my MOTM yesterday. I'm pleased with the three points and the clean sheet.

Only just got back from a break sub lol. Solid if unspectacular win which was definitely needed. We have to put a run together now, not confident with our record on t.v mind

I can see us putting a little run together now Ricci, and it's crucial, as you say, that we do.

On very few occasions this season have we picked up "one off" results. If we get a win, we tend to put three or four decent results together, such as two wins and two draws, and then go on a similar dissapointing slump (very much like the fact we've just come off the back of a seven match winless run which followed one defeat in eight).

We have a team that plays very much on confidence. Following Saturday, confidence should be on the rise and hopefully we will start picking up a few decent results - I can certainly see us winning at Oldham on Monday for Starters.

It's just a pity the gap between the two games is longer, owing to the internationals.

Friday night might have been a good choice, but it won't happen now obviously.

Lucas Akins is not good enough for this level. Can't fault his effort though, he definitely gives his all.

No assists? Really?

he may have an assist but to my knowledge he hasnt he contributes very little and is clearly not upto the standard required but seems to be a les favourite

Akins is not listed the clubs assist list on the main site. Akins could give 100% and he'd not get 100% of a goal or an assist. His disallowed effort at Plymouth counts as 50% of a goal at best.

Tranmere should have kept Gornell in comparison. He scored 5 last season, so I think he could have at least upped his tally a bit, even if it was only to 7 by the end of this season, but that's 7 more than 3 strikers in the squad who have scored -7 less than that and will almost certainly continue to do so.
