Here's a novel prediction.

I'll go 9 - 7 to Rovers.

1. An Akins hattrick.

2. A McGurk own goal.

3. 5 sendings off.

4. 6 penalities.

5. Two late Robinson goals in the final 5 minutes that win it for Rovers.

6. Weir getting all 6 assists for Rovers.

7. 10 minutes of extra time in the second half.

8. McChrystal breaking his nose in a clash of heads with Symes, but valliantly playing on.

9. Warner breaks his right hand accidentally punching a post, but still saves 2 penalties with it and gets man of the match.

10. Les gets sent to the stands for arguing with Bradbury after calling him a t*at, because he thinks Bradbury calls Labadie a thuggish caveman, after getting sent off for his 12th foul of the match, in a match that will go down in history as Bournegate, or Tranmouth, or some such name.

A game people boozily debate 30 years on, or rather argue about, when they can't remember exactly how mahy penalites and sendings off actually happened and who got the assists, or what Bradbury actually said.

Let's face it you might as well predict something as loony as this, because frankly predicting a rovers result is often harder than winning the lottery and the pools in the same week .

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.

Actually Matt its getting easier to predict our results as 1 win in 12 games suggests.

we've bounced back well from bad results in the past. i'm predicting us to get a good draw 1-1 cresswell free kick! SWA

Parry must stay just in after a few light ales here in Perth Australia and a nice "jingle" down at Bournemouth ,Soooo White Army !!

Superb performance from start to finish with the switch to Cressa left midfield and Zoum left back making all the difference.

It was a hard working performance and first half especially we were first to everything and deserved our lead.

Second half they went for it a lot more as expected but we rode our luck at one end and still looked threatening at the other end.

When they equalised I'd have still taken the draw until McGurk who some people said would never score did so!

Man of the Match between Akins an Enoch but will probably go for Akins as thats the consensus in the car.

Also a word for Labadie and Taylor both of whom I've criticised in the past but today were excellent.

Finally we've just been saying how we've never seen such bad losers as the Bournemouth fans were outside after and giving no credit to us whatsoever. Hopefully after that their promotion push will die quickly.

a fantastic result indeed and about time we started to score goals.

With the other results the win gives us a bit of breathing space and hopefully now we can get a couple of results and pull clear of the bottom 4.

Well considering we now have 6 games, 3 of which are against teams below us - D&R, Notts and Swindon, then very much in our hands... win those and we are home and dry

In our own hands now so I guess time to put everything else aside and start to get behind them starting next Saturday against Daggers, let's get the ground rocking and build some momentum

What a difference a win makes! It's half of shandy time methinks. Matthew the rover is God!

Got to win next week now, it's vital, at this stage of the season, that we beat the teams around us.

A win next Saturday will give us the chance to secure our safety with a second 3 pts against Notts County, with hopefully over 10000 packed into PP.

Thankfully did have money on it, £2 at 14/1, nice return. Also picked first and second in the national. £100 up for the day. Not complaining. Great result.

Just got ome. A super sunny day and a great result................just. Rovers played well in the 1st half - good to see Zoom at left back and Cressy at left mid. The team looked organised and I think we deserved our goal just before half time (by Goody I think) smashed in from a corner. Bournemouth made 2 subs at the begining of the 2nd half and we were lucky not to have conceded 3 goals (terrible Bournemouth finishing thank god) in the opening 10 mins. We definetley rode our luck as we went into our shell, yet again, allowing Bournemouth to get back into the game. Nail biting 2nd half as we defended even closer to our goal as the time ran down. I can not quite remember the time line but with about 90 mins gone and 4 minutes of extra time to play (were did that come from) they scored xxxxxxxxxxxxx With little time left Adkins picked up the ball on the right and with Enock infront of him he drifted across the pitch (at which point I was convinced he was going to lose it) he prodded the ball to McGurk on the left of the penalty area.............. who pushed the ball forward by the defender and blasted it into the roof of the goal via the bar. Unbelievable and right infront of our supporters.Time for a Supporters and Team lovehug which resulted in two players getting booked (Adkins and McGurk - naughty boys). Joys of joys not another wasted trip.
And now to some points to consider.
1. Les brought on McGurk for Cressy (a good choice)
2. I am sure if Ash is not fully fit - for the two recent games I have seen him he struggled to get his head to the ball - why not give Nic Wood a go in that position just infront of the back four and let Ash have a rest.
3.I think we missed JW in the middle of the midfield - too many Bournemouth attacks were started from this area and could have been the death of us.
4. Must learn to retain possession more especially in the 2nd half as our only outlet appeared to be the hoof.

Delighted to see Cresswell removed from left-back, he's been atrocious their recently and imo Zoom is ten times better at left back, so to swap them around was a good move. Cresswell has a much better cross than Zoom too so makes sense to see him on the wing.

Really don't think Nick Wood could play that role like Ash does, Nick seems so immobile at times!

Retaining possession has been a problem all season.

We've done the hard part now in beating Bournemouth. We've got two VERY winnable home games coming up and we SHOULD be safe come 19th April at 10pm. Just got to hope now we've done the hard part we can do the "easier-on-paper" part of things!

For those who are still not sure, his name is AKINS not Atkins or Adkins .

Great result and McGurk actually scored, so maybe this might be a turning point for him.

wel perhapse it's coz I've watched him more than you ! certainly seen him score more than you have ! that's why I think he has an eye for goal !

you may have seen him in the reserves more than i have but just because he scores a few goals in the reserves doesnt mean he will do it in the first team.

We have the perfect chance now to play 4-4-2 in the next 2 games and give ime a chance up front with enoch lets see f les is bold enough to try it

agony, McGurk has score 1 goal for the reserves this season in 11 games where as Akins has scored 6 in 8 games

If the one he does score is the winner that gives us 3 points, rather than 6 goals in as many losing games, then that is alright by me :0)

but over the course of the season we need more players to score more goals, we are in the lowest 2 or 3 scoring teams in the league and thats the big problem and why we are struggling to stay up again

i,m back for dagenham game,lets get behind the rovers and get the points to stay up.then we can sort out manager etc.i personally think les should go back to physio.maybe run the reserves,and appoint a new man,harvey,allen,moore,any others

Goals do matter agreed, but until the Sheffield Wednesday game, the team had conceded 14 in their previous 15 games, which is something to consider and only conceded 1 yesterday.

This is a very positive thing and if we are able to win, this defensive ability will play a big part in it.

I still believe they could play a 3-5-2 on this evidence and I would be willing to have McGurk start upfront in a 4-4-2, or a 3-5-2, but whether Les could be bold enough to use 3-5-2, or 5-3-2 with wing backs, I don't think he would.

im going on the stats from the programme of the huddersfield game

well tryb the stats from the official Tramere Rovers web site they show the goals he has scored !
they list FOUR for the reserves ! often mainlt youth teamplayers makin up the numbers in reality ! been a hard thankless task at our club this year ! saddens me how many are waiting to put the boot in to my club

I went to this match not expecting much and would have been well happy with a point. It was great to see the team put in such a battling performance. I felt more sorry for the lads than for me when they equalised cos i could see how much effort they had put in. It was one of those games that reminded me why we go to so much time and expense watching football. An unexpected win like that seems to make it all worthwile. (Adam McGurk Huddersfield miss all is forgiven!)
I agree with Deadly about the Bournemouth fans. I could hear them abusing some of our fans, who were minding their own business by the coaches, while I was heading back to the car.
They've got Notts county , Yeovil and Bristol Rovers to play yet but I wouldn't be too bothered if they got no points against them. They're not going to do anything in the play-offs anyway and I think we can look after ourselves after that performance.

Having just watched the highlights how can Akins claim to be a striker when he missed a header 6 yards from goal unmarked. Not even on target.

Bournemouth fan in peace! Well done Saturday guys - one day we will learn that hoofball against a team full of players 12 feet tall will just not work!!! Our tactics were wrong, Fletch has never won a header against Pepe despite the fact they are both in their ninetys and have been having the same battle twice a season for so many years my great grandparents witnessed the first one, so it was never going to happen, was it.

Deadly and wiipatnevin - sorry you met some of our idiots! Trust me we have far more than we would want! There's a lot of discontent at the moment amongst a section of our fans, we seem to have thrown the season away at the last minute (again!!) and they are being even mouthier than usual! I think the fact we all watched the video of the cup game on Friday night, when we played well, attractive passing football and expected similar and what we instead got was someone in defence lumping the ball up for Fletch, Pepe saying thank you very much winning the ball and lumping it back to our defence for it to be repeated a zillion times was a bit too much to bear! You have to admit that was about it in the first half.

Labadie is a good asset for you guys, he's an out and out cheat, but has perfected diving. Credit to him, he gets it right and wins you free kicks. I wish some of ours could learn to be as ruthless! Shame in a way though as well because when he does stay on his feet he looks like he's rather handy. Ref was rubbish but he didn't cost us the game, sloppy defending did. Showumni scares me! He is a mountain and a very mobile mountain when he wants to be. If a miracle happens and we do actually win promotion can we have Pepe and Showumni please?

You guys will hang in there, hope so, I always enjoy our games and the reality is we'll be playing you again next season bar a bloody great miracle. Was pleased for Pepe getting on the scoresheet, he's my all time top Jamaica player so I like to see him do well and we have always been a bogey team for him. He normally does at least one if not two of, gives away a penalty, gets booked, gets a yellow, gets a red, sloppy defending costing a goal or scoring an own goal! Not only did the @#$%& not do any of them for once he had the best game I have seen him play since 26th June 1998!! Bloody Typical Those of us with Jamaica shirts on in the home end took a lot of stick

Yeah thanks a lot and despite our recent poor record results wise (until Saturday), I've always enjoyed the trips down there to your place!

For their goal it looked on the FL show as if he forearmed our player in the chest & Akins did well to ride 2 bad tackles,he is getting better every game,hope fully Bourne mouth will win those 3 games & do us all a favour

Don't rely on us! Seriously, we seem to have forgotton how to win right now, actually we seem to have forgotton how to play football let alone win! Those of you who made the long trip down Saturday may have noticed that fact We've now slipped out of the top 6 for the first time this season and I'm not sure 5 games is enough to repair that. Be interesting to see how our lads respond to it.

On paper we have a decent run in 16-04 - Notts Co away; 23.04 - Yeovil away; 25.04 B'Rovers home; 30.04 - Hartleppol away and 07.05 Rochdale home. Clownty I'm not confident - they are there with us top of the worst current form table and theoretically we should win it BUT they have a new manager and will be out to impress him, he's also bloody good at motivating his squads. They are also a bit of a bogey team for us. Yeovil again on paper we should win. Hartlepool have nothing to play for really - draw but hopefully a win. B'Rovers did us a week ago, home advantage and pride to play for, hopefully we can win that one for both our sakes! Rochdale at home is either going to be a damp squid depending on the 4 results before hand or a huge huge game that will see us or them finish in a play off spot. Glad we're at home for that one but if it turns out to be our season decider all the day trippers will be out in force all life time supporters of course I hate it as they all sit there in their shiney new shirts politely clapping and glaring at us season ticket holders swearing and singing! I always dig out a very old shirt when I know the day trippers will be in the ground!!

Your run in could be worse, not a lot granted but... 16.04 D&R - home; 19.04 Clownty home; 22.04 Hartlepool away; 25.04 Exeter home; 30.04 - Orient away; 07.05 Swindon home. So you get Clownty days after us, hopefully we will beat them on Saturday, help you guys out a bit in the process and further demoralise them before you get them on Tuesday. D&R a relegation scrap for you but you have home advantage and are going into it confident after a good win (if you class beating us a good win ), I think you will win that one. Hartlepool will be a hard one as they have nothing to play for, the pressure will be on you. I reckon at draw at worst though. You can help us out a lot by beating Orient and Exeter. Please!! Swindon I think it will depend on whether they are already down by then (hope so!!). If they have to win that game to stay up then I'd hate to try call it but if down already I think you will stuff them by 3/4 goals.

My predictions: You will comfortably stay up. If we lose on Saturday then it's season over for us I'm afraid and the free fall will continue and we'll end up down there with you guys. If we draw or win then we still have a chance, depending on other results. I'll be back at the weekend to see how we're both doing then!!

Delighted with the result and made up for Mcgurk. I would hope he hets a run in the side but doubt it. Les prefers hard working players who don't really have any quality, i.e Akins.
