So Les has stuck to the same line up and up to now again Akins has again missed chances(8 minutes gone) how does one striker(Akins) manage to keep his perfect form of missing chances when it easier to stick it in I live in hope that Akins will prove me wrong a put one in and go in to get three (TODAY WILL DO LUCAS)

Les`s plan of reaching the fifty point mark today has gone out of the window at this moment in time and I bet he`s either counting his money in his pockets or looking down at the grass in his technical area.

So were still 1-0 down against a team(Hartlepool) thats fielding a team with three young players making their league debut`s including a keeper and Les has not made any changes
Les try something we need to gain a point at least and the way Exeter playing it would be hard to get anything out of that game so Les that trap door is looming up again.

Come on Les keep Robbo and Jennings in on Monday from the start Akins been running round like a headless chicken and the Jennings comes on and does the job .

Exeter and Orient both winning today piles the pressure on us big time. Puts them and Rochdale all on 2 points behind us and ideally placed to steal the final playoff spot from us. We really need to win our next 2, Yeovil away tomorrow and Brovers on Monday. Fingers crossed we get a good result in that one as it'll benefit both our teams!

Good point at a tough ground eases the pressure a bit. a couple of decent results and maybe a chance to give a few youngsters a go in the final few games.

Pool put out a weak side and although every point is useful,in the context of the game it was points lost rather than gained.

Exeter will be a tougher game and Harley and Cureton will provide the sort of class that we lack.I cannot see us getting anything from Orient.

I just hope that we get at least a point from Mondays game as I would hate us to have to depend on the Swindon result for that is just the sort of game that we could blow

More assumptions from people NOT at the game! Great point at a Ground we do badly at usually!

A good point that takes to that magical 50 Mark

At times we were found wanting today, the midfield performance was absolutely woeful and Showunmi had an off day, but defensively we were very strong, whilst the wingers were pretty decent too.

We dominated the game until they scored, we'd already had a couple of chances by then, with Akins having one cleared off the line. We started like a house on fire.

After the goal, heads dropped and the midfield started to put in error strewn performances. I simply do not know what anybody sees in Weir. He is absolutely dire. His passing is attrocious. Welsh was also anonymous once again. Taylor did well in midfield defensive wise - won a lot of tackles and headers, but passing is, as we know, not his strong suit, and he was a culprit of a number of miss placed cross field balls.

On numerous occasions, we got in great positions on the wings. Zoum and Cresswell put in three or four absolutely stunning crosses in the first half, but nobody was on the end of them.

None of our midfielders were making any effort to get in the box. Weir and Welsh were just ambling along, whilst often Showunmi was at the far post.

It's no wonder we're struggling to get goals, when we're not getting our midfielders in the box. There's nobody with that predetory instinct who knows where to go and when.

Jennings did this exact thing when he came on. He got very lucky that the rebound came his way, but at least he was in a position to put it home and make it 1-1.

We have got to start getting more players in the box, it'll cause mayhem for the other team and give us a much greater chance of scoring.

As I've mentioned higher up in this post, our passing today was useless. I lost count of the amount of times Weir put the ball out of play, whilst Robinson had a perfect opportunity to slide McGurk in at one point but just hit the pass straight to their lad.

Add on top of this that Showunmi was disappointing today, with a poor first touch which often saw him getting the ball caught under our feet, and we were really struggling.

Saying that though, I think we deserved the point. It was a game of few chances, and though Tony made some good saves, he wasn't that busy. Neither, though, was their 'keeper.

After the goal, we pushed on and tried to win it, but we ran out of time really.

Good to see us fight back like that, and hopefully Jennings will get a start on Monday, probably over Akins who did have a decent game today. His first touch is very strong and he gets himself in good positions. He put in a couple of good crosses today, but ultimately his failure is in his final ball, and that's why Jennings should be in the team ahead of him.

Matthew, playing 4-5-1 is the main reason why we do not get many players in the box.

No it's not. Playing 4-4-2 gets you midfielders in the box. 4-5-1 should as well. The players we have just don't do it enough. Joss gets in the box, Weir and Welsh don't, because they're not good enough. It's got nothing to do with the formation.

but the point is because of our system and tactics there is not enough players getting into the box you said so yourself.

Anybody can get into the box whatever their footballing ability the problem is only 1 of the midfield 3 is encouraged to get forward hence Enoch especially is so often isolated.

I agree with bigmart, we always play with two really holding mdifeilders (usually Ash and Welsh) leaving Joss to support Enoch with "help" from the wings.

Problem is when we lump it to Enoch by the time anyone gets near him he's lost it! Not through his own fault - expecting one man to defend off two centre backs is unreasonable. If we could support Enoch quicker, and with more quantity, we'd be a much bigger threat going forward IMO.

That doesn't go to say we should be throwing one of Welsh/Ash forward, but the two wingers need to be A) higher up the pitch and more central to win any flick on's etc.

Just watched a playback of the Hartlepool game we could have lost that game esp when fortune seemed to be on our side when with Warner beaten they hit the top of the net with a lob over Warner once or twice they hit the crossbar and a pen claim turned down(other days they have been given Notts game for one) so we may have been beaten 3-1 on Sat so today we have to move up a gear or two to get something out of todays game.
