The latest issue of the Tranmere Rovers Fanzine is now available to buy after going on sale at the recent away game at Hartlepool United on Good Friday and once again we bring you a quick look at what to expect from this issue.....

As Rovers prepared to take on Hartlepool United at Victoria Park on Good Friday, the game also provided Rovers fans with the first opportunity to buy the latest edition of the Tranmere Fanzine ‘Give Us an R', the seventh issue of this season so far.
The front cover which is in full colour as ever, features both Lucas Akins and Robbie Weir in action at Dean Court against Bournemouth in the recent 2-1 victory whilst the inside of the front cover celebrates the launch of the new season ticket prices for next season with a picture of the huge sign that has been erected outside Prenton Park on the corner of Borough Road and Prenton Road West to advertise the launch.
The regular away days series of articles in this issue covers the recent away trips to Exeter, Charlton, Brighton and Oldham which Rovers lose only one of those games and take three valuable points from the series of games.
The regular contributions of the Doctor (Editorial) and Total Tranmere's very own Deadly Submarine are in also featured once more alongside the regular ‘Anorak Quiz’ which asks you to identify five photographs of Football League Grounds from more obscure angles with the answers in the following issue each time.
The Paddock Man also makes a return for this final issue of the season, giving his views on the current situation compared with the good old days under Johnny King and even prior to that time.

There is also a follow-on in this issue to the feature in the last issue which saw Rovers fan Trevor Jones spend a few days last summer visiting Norway and taking in a number of matches at different Stadia during their league season (which runs in the summer months unlike over here).
This time around Trevor tells of his second adventure when he also visited Sweden in early autumn 2010 to take in some more football (and ice hockey) games in a feature now titled ‘Scandinavian Odyssey 2’ which for an interesting read indeed.
Other interesting features in the current issue include a look back by Tony Coombes at previous stadiums that either no longer exist (such as Huddersfield's Leeds Road ground) or ones that have dramatically changed over the years with accompanying pictures to show how times have indeed changed.
There are also a final few snippets including a look at Rovers' decreasing crowds for this season and some praise for the Dagenham and Redbridge goalkeeper Tony Roberts for his joky antics and banter at Prenton Park last week.
On the inside back cover, the ‘Yesterday's Heroes' features a full colour photo of Mark Proctor to round another interesting issue of ‘Give Us an R’.
Priced at just £2.00, Give Us an R is is well worth a read and can be purchased at all Rovers games. Dave can be found selling the mag outside the visitor's turnstiles at all away games and for home games is usually standing on the patch of wasteground alongside the entrance to the Main Club Car Park (under the sign advertising the next three home matches at Prenton Park) so if you have never purchase it before why not give it a try?
Dave will be selling the latest issue at the final two games of the season away at Leyton Orient on Saturday and the following Saturday at the Swindon home games.
