After two weeks of voting we can today reveal the winners of our end of season awards with four categories up for voting and the results have produced few surprises in the end with two players scoring a double victory in the poll results.....

You have been voting for two weeks and the time has now come to reveal the winners of our End of Season Awards Polls which took in four different categories but in the end only saw two different winners.
The first of our polls asked you to vote for your Player of the Season and like the Club’s official poll the winner was striker Enoch Showumni who polled 45% of the vote and therefore easily beating veteran defender Ian Goodison into second place (28%).
Showumni netted 13 times during the season in a struggling Rovers team and was more than worthy of the Player of the Season vote, being particularly noted for his confidence in one on one situations with opposing goalkeepers, scoring almost every time he was faced with such a situation.

In third place in the Player of the Season Poll was Aaron Cresswell with just 9% of the vote followed by captain John Welsh on 6%.
In the Young Player of the Season vote, the result was again in keeping with the official Club vote and unsurprisingly saw Dale Jennings take the honour after a superb breakthrough season which saw him score a number of spectacular goals despite only being a second year scholar at the start of the start of the campaign.
After scoring a spectacular first goal for the Club away at Bristol Rovers, Dale continued to make headlines before an injury sidelined spell ruled him out of a number of games before he returned in time for the end of the season.
Jennings won this award with a huge 50% of the vote with Aaron Cresswell in second place (29%) and Michael Kay and Joss Labadie tied for third place with just 4% of the vote each.

Dale Jennings made it a double success in our end of season polls by also winning the Goal of the Season award for his solo run and finish against Plymouth Argyle at home. The goal, in which Dale picked up the ball just inside the Argyle half, beat a number of defenders and then put the ball past the goalkeeper, polled 56% of the vote and easily beat off competition Ian Goodison’s strike at home to Carlisle United (13%) and Joss Labadie’s long range screamer away at Brentford (11%).
Dale Jennings wasn’t the only player to make it a brace of awards in our polls voted for by you as Enoch Showumni scooped with some ease the Signing of the Season award after polling 59% of your votes ahead of Mark McChrystal (39%).
Total Tranmere would like to thank everyone who voted in our four end of season awards polls and for supporting the website over the season just ended by reading articles, posting on the Message Board or entering our competitions.
Most of all congratulations to Enoch Showumni and Dale Jennings for their award successes both in our site polls and in the official Club polls earlier on in the month. Hopefully the two, along with the rest can improve on the season just gone and push Rovers up the League One table!
