If you can't make Tranmere's game at home to Carlisle United on Tuesday evening, why not join in the banter right here with other Rovers fans who are unable to attend......
Where possible, Total Tranmere's admin team will post reports at half-time on how the game is going for the benefit of those who are unable to make it and of course there will also be all the post-match examination of the game by fans who went to the match.
For those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, particularly the more costly and time consuming southern away games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread on the Site for every Rovers game.
The thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match analysis.
Where possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game as well as a half-time report on how the game is going for the benefit of those who are unable to make it.
Tranmere of course host Carlisle United on Tuesday evening in NPower League One so if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on?
Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.
You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.
What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.
Admin staff will try and add the team and updates on the game on this thread where possible whilst there will also be our usual update service from our Twitter feed @totaltranmere so if you are not already following us it may be worth doing so!

Off to new York today to see the big 4 at Yankees stadium late birthday present for my son and anniversary present for my wife. Hopefully get some wifi somewhere to check the score without it costing me a fortune

Just got back, extremely disappointed and annoyed. Firstly, the first half 'performance' was a joke. Passes abysmal, defending a joke, it was like last season all over again. It could have been more than 2 to be honest, it was laughable.
Now Ash Taylor. He is becoming a liability. Can't be clear if it was a pen or not but he got far too tight to the man, got turned and was clumsy. All night he miscued clearances, lost headers and was generally awful. Raven should go to centre back, we have no other option.
The midfield was poor once again. Welsh is having a bad spell, his passing is getting worse. Joss isn't taking his chance in the team, and Weir is back to his anonymous self. Those who said we would cope without Robbo are kidding themselves. 1 goal and 1 point in 3 games since he got injured says different.
The positives were Akins to be fair to him kept going, and was rightfully MOTM. Enoch looked a bit sharper and Muzza was good when he came on. Well that is 1 point from 3 games, and 1 goal, 2 defeats on the bounce. We can't let a rot set in. A win on saturday is now very important as it will stop this bad run.

I completely disagree Ricci. I think at times in the first half we played very well and we didn't let our heads drop despite going behind.
HOWEVER, defensively, we were awful. I say we, I mean Ash Taylor. His defending for the penalty was shocking, and it was one of countless mistakes he made all night. They played on the stinker he was having and ran at him every time. He must be dropped for the next game.

Second half we were as good as we have been in a number of other games and although first half we weren't as good we still played alright and much improved than on Saturday for sure.
Much better performances from Enoch and McGurk (not hard after Saturday) and some postives including Akins and David Raven especially.
Disappointed to lose it but two mistakes will always cost you and so it proved.

personaly i think we played well for majority of the game and the only difference between the team was ash taylor shocking to be nice to him and that doesnt even some up his performance it was like playing 3 at the back he has no pace and let the ball drop over his shoulder far to ofton and for a lad wth his height he needs to learn how to head it shoul have bin him out on loan rather than homles.
i felt enoch played well compared to recent performances from him and when chicken came on well he played very well and les gets alot of stick from fans for apprently not knowing how to change a game first half wasnt the greatest second half we looked like a team who shoud be winning matchs by 3 or 4 goals not getting beat JL i tought done very well in midfield and not think we need a loanie for there i think we need with out a doubt a new defender for ash because he will be who costs us over the next couple of months i just wonder if maybe richard hinds my sould be offered a deal is not see is maxi blanchard is avalible because they are both better than ash

I agree with Ricci and totally disagree with the rest of those who have posted so far.The defence was poor but not only Ash Taylor although he was the poorest of the 4-some of the times he left the ball were just as much the keepers fault for not calling as his.
We played well for about 5-10 minutes after their goal in the first half but that's all.After the 2 incidents with their number 14 things went downhill.

I agree with everyone except HM. Two defensive clangers and a very good attacking second half but with an inability to finish the chances. Statistics for this season show a lit more attempts on goal than last seasons games, which is a positive. I bet Taylor is kept in' to boost his confidence'

the second half was an improvement but we didnt created that many chances and they looked dangerous all night.
Our defense as a whole wasnt very good but taylor was a total liability there no 9 just pulled him out wide and beat him so easy he has to be dropped for saturday.
the midfield didnt perform that well after a good 20 minutes or so we were always srcond to the ball.
Akins was our best player by a long way enoch better than has been but has lost all confidence in front of goal mcgurk was ok.

Yes it was two defence error`s plus a first half to forget but years ago when we real strikers any defence slip ups would be counter attacked by the forward line to off set any slip up and of course with real potential up front the opposition could be to busy defending to gain a foot hold on the game if I was Carlisle manager if asked the question who do we mark up as a real threat in our forward line it would be hard to pick any of them as a main threat given past goal scorer`s the Aldo Muiry and Clark and Clayton and the likes of them we had in the past Carlisle`s manager`s team talk would have picked out the likes of them and told his players to stick to the like glue to them, but with having no money their seem`s little chance of signing

Surely Les needs to consider the system at home now? Mcgurk is supposedly a great finisher, why not stick him in the middle, even though he puts in a good cross I still feel he is wasted out wide. I can't understand why Kay is sitting on the bench and Ash Taylor is continuing to start. I'd drop Ash, put Raven at centre with Goody and reinstate Kay to right back. Ash has made numerous errors over the past couple of weeks and his distribution of the ball is poor. Tiriyaki looked lively when he came on against Huddersfield at the weekend and again last night. I don't think Enoch is fully fit yet and the long ball up to him was ineffective. Can't understand why Max Power was on the bench after an impressive debut against Huddersfield at the weekend either.
We desparately need Devaney and Robbo back, and to make a loan signing or two.
Positive notes from last night, Fon Williams had another good game, and Lucas Akins was very impressive and deserved his MOTM. Have to look forward to Saturday and hope for 3 points against a struggling Wycombe side.

The problem with that is that Raven's crossing yesterday and at other times is very good. Something Kay may not provide as well at right-back.

I know that Raven could cover centre back but it would be really good if we could sign additional cover. Goodison,at his age, will be more prone to injury and someone now can give cover and eventually they could also replace Goody for surely this is his last season.
In the last year Taylor has gone backwards and it is beginning to look like arrested development rather than a dip in form. Such a pity as he once looked v promising

I'd concur on the Raven, Kay system at the back.
I think Les sohuld abandon the idea of a cover mid becasue the last two he went ofter got banjaxed and can't come.
Robbo will be back soon so it will be waste to get a guy in to play 2-3 games.
Use half the Cresswell plus a small percentage of any increased club funds, from home games and get a loan or free transfer stiker.
Marcus Bent is still free, why not trial him, because AFC Wimbledon offered him something and he didn't say 100% he would never go to league two, so I'd say he would consider league 1 quite well, as past loan spells in the championship proved largely fruitless goal wise.
Alternatively get a decent loan player.

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.

I feel if we were to get a goalscorer it really would set us up for a good season. Take Oldham as an example. we have just as good a midfield and defence as them and they were struggling. Since they have signed Kuqi, he has scored and they have won a few.

Does any one else remember when football involved passing and moving and gradually working your way into a great attacking position? We seem to either panic and pump the long ball forward from the back (including OFW) or the midfield seem to want to hit 30 yard super passes which would take a "Rooney" to bring down and control. Our midfiled three always seem to be under pressure when in possession, or chasing shadows when the opposition have the ball. Hasn't Clue-Les-s realised yet thet 4-3-3 really doesn't do it for any of us? I'd love to know what the players on the field would really like to do. We are not Barcelona, so lets make it simple and do the basics better, which includes shooting that makes their goalkeeper make a save. When did Johnny Wilkinson come in as our "shooting coach"?
Lets hope for a better performance on Saturday, that lasts for 90 minutes as well. I'm really fed up with a good half and an awful half. I pay for the whole match after all.

watched the goals ! what the hell was Goodison doing for the first ! the Pen looked like Ash tried to avoid contact ! and should not have had to be drawn out there for cover the same as the other clip wide left later, covering again !

Goodison is now starting to show his age, while every little knock he gets in a game efforts him more than others in the team. He is playing on to my mind unfit and has been for most of this season.He does not train during the week half the time and you can see this in the performance. Ash we all know had a stinker against Carlise but he didnt get much support from Goodison which put him under a lot of pressure and he could just not cope with it. Mac is being missed in the centre as he reads the game so well and is usually quick to respond unlike Ash. So Les has not too many options todate other to continue with Goodison & Ash while he is out.It is now showing that we do not have a strong enough squad to cover for the number of injuries we have recently sustained and Les most now bring in a couple of loan players.Since Les took over, on the whole he has been good at finding some reasonable good players so lets hope he can pull a few more rabbits out the bag sooner than later.
