Accrington Fixture Re-arranged

Johnstone Paints game to take place next Wednesday
Tranmere's Johnstones Paint trophy Northern Section second round match against Accrington Stanley will now take place on Wednesday 12th October, with kick off at 7.45pm.
The original fixture at the Crown Ground was abandoned after less than 40 minutes after defender Tom Bender received a horrific blow to the head which left him unconscious on the pitch for over half an hour.
Tranmere were leading the fixture 2-1 at the time after Ash Taylor, captain on the night, and Mustafa Tiryaki, had pulled Les Parry's side from behind following an early own goal from defender Zoumana Bakayogo, and in a kind gesture of sportsmanship, Accrington manager John Coleman has offered Tranmere the chance to score straight from the kick off in the rearranged fixture to restore their one goal lead.
The match, which will once again be played at the Crown Ground, will see all adults charged £2 for entry, whilst U16s will be admitted free of charge (all cash take on the turnstiles).
The draw for the area quarter finals of the Johnstones Paint trophy takes this Saturday on Soccer AM, so Rovers and Accrington will know their potential opponents for the next round ahead of the game.
