Everton loanee extends Tranmere stay

Article Header - Breaking News

Tranmere Rovers have extended the loan stay of Jose Baxter from Everton for a further month, keeping him at Prenton Park until November 26th.

This means that the 19-year olds final game for Les Parry's side will be the away fixture against Exeter City on November 26th, though Rovers can extend his loan by one more month.

Baxter arrived at Prenton Park in mid-September following an injury to Andy Robinson and had an immediate impact on the Rovers squad, netting on his debut in a 2-1 defeat to Preston North End at Deepdale.

Since that fixture, his stature at Prenton Park has grown and Baxter, Everton's youngest ever first team player, has gone on to become a key figure for Les Parry's side, netting a further goal in the 1-0 win over Oldham Athletic and playing in all seven games since his arrival on the Wirral.

Baxter will be available to play in Rovers' league game against Scunthorpe United this weekend, but it's unlikely that Everton boss David Moyes will give the player permission to play in Tranmere's FA Cup first round tie on the weekend of November 12th, for which the draw takes place this Sunday (12.15 ITV1).

Baxter is a great player very skillful on the ball and still learning his craft definitely one to watch, I hope he does well for the Tranmere they're a great side and deserve a good run of results, I wish Jose and the Rest of the lads the best and Can't wait for him to get back to Everton.

I'd love to say that's the reason I didn't give Matthew the credit he deserves before but it wouldn't be true! Matthew your contribution is much appreciated (but you need to work on your headlines).winking smiley

Baxter's flavour of the month.

1. Oxtail, closely followed by cream of mushroom, which just pips Pea and ham.

It could even be a humerous running joke, by including such things in team dinners.

Ahh Welshy dear boy, more pea and Ham?

Why Enoch don't mind if I do (Sm7)

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
