You Bet We Can: Yeovil (Away)

Total Tranmere looks at the betting odds ahead of Rovers' long trip south-west to Yeovil on Saturday....

This Saturday, Tranmere take on Yeovil Town at Huish Park in their second away match of 2012.  Rovers go into the game looking for their first away league win since October 25th and are looking to reverse a run of four successive away defeats, but Yeovil themselves have not won in six matches in all competitions, so Les Parry's side will be confident of picking up a result.

However, it is Yeovil's first home game with Gary Johnson back in charge of the club after his appointment this week, whilst Rovers haven't managed to pick up a single point in any of their last three trips to Huish Park, a run they will hopefully reverse today.

Prediction: This will be a tough game for Tranmere Rovers, as with it being Gary Johnson's first home game back in charge of Yeovil Town, no doubt the Glovers will be more up for the game.

However, their form isn't great, as compounded by a 4-0 defeat against Sheffield United on Tuesday night, and hopefully Tranmere will be able to capitalise on that an pick up their first win on the road since October 25th.

It's a big week for Rovers, with three games in eight games and a real chance to start pushing back up the table if they pick up a few points, and for that reason I can see Rovers being up for the game and at least avoiding defeat.

For me, I think the best value could be seen in Tranmere winning 2-1 at 11/1 (Betfred) or Martin Devaney to score anytime and Tranmere to win at 17/2 (William Hill).
