If you can't make Tranmere's game at home to Rochdale on Tuesday evening, why not join in the banter right here with other Rovers fans who are unable to attend......
For those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, particularly the more costly and time consuming southern away games, we at Total Tranmere will be providing a Match Discussion Thread on the Site for every Rovers game.
The thread will allow you to discuss everything from the pre-match build up and starting line-up to the game it as it progresses and the post-match analysis.
Where possible, Total Tranmere staff will post up the starting line-up and substitutes on the thread as soon as it is made known at the game as well as a half-time report on how the game is going for the benefit of those who are unable to make it.
Tranmere of course host Rochdale on Tuesday evening in NPower League One so if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on?
Maybe if you have a friend or family member texting you from the game you can post their views here for others to see as the game progresses.
You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been along to the game.
What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.
Admin staff will try and add the team and updates on the game on this thread where possible whilst there will also be our usual update service from our Twitter feed @totaltranmere so if you are not already following us it may be worth doing so!

In the latest report have read that Lateef has been unable to train outside with Rovers since he signed due to ice weather. For that reason think he will come off the bench tonight.

Stockton was the only positive. We created chances but didn't score, how often have we said that?
Ash Taylor in midfield, why Les? This formation at home, why Les? Absolutely sick of it again, just like last season. If we don't sign a striker we will be heading down looking at the situation at the moment.
6 points out of a possible 33, that is an absolute disgrace, and here we are in a relegation battle again.

grow up Lad ! when was the last relergation battle ? certainly not last year 1 hardly in the zone ! battled well tonight ! lots to be possitive about but you want to drag my glub abd it's staff down ! WHY who do you think we are ? you want glory clear off with the other wannabe's from the wirral and go to Lpool or Eton ! or just try to accept what it's like following the rovers ***

Sorry but if you supported Rovers as long as I have since around 1958 the record we have of 6 points out of the last 33 is not good enough we were not playing one of the top six but Rochdale who were quicker than us passed the ball around well did not do what we do pass it back to the opposition and hoof ball it just not up to standard 82 minutes of nothing then 10 odd minutes of some urgency at the end.
If the first game of the season was eleven games ago we would be sitting in the bottom four with six points that`s how bad it is,what`s Les`s next plan back to basics.

well we're 16th ! still recon that is mid table 1 think lots better tonight ! things to build on ! but better 1 they were hurting after the weekend 1 and think we had the better of the game ! things I think styarting to turn our way !

Mid-table: anywhere between 10th and 16th. A loose interpretation of mid-table, but I doubt many would say 11th -13th is correct and anything else is wrong.
Right now if this were a study of living standards, Tranmere would be lower middle class, Charlton the upper crust and Chesterfield, mining folk

Tranmere did create enough on target stuff to score 1,2 or even 3 times, but as is often the case, that added "x" that makes it a goal was missing.
One day Akins will get out of this rut he's gotten in, of aiming at the keeper and hitting the human target, as he managed to net this season; but frankly sometimes Tranmere might as well erect a removable third post, in the middle of the goal they're attacking and tell the opposition to give their keeper the night off, then remove it and put in the other end for the second half.
I thought Lateef was decent tonight and fitted in reasonably well and Devaney created some decent approach work at times and the clean sheet was better than a poke in the eye.
Yes, not a stellar performance of note, but some positives and although 5 points from the last 5 games is not fantastic, it's better than 0 in 4 and shows some signs of improvement, which hopefully will get better and at least 1 league place was gained, which again is better than nothing.

We are totally predictable. Due to circumstances I haven't been able to go for a while. After a while I thought I was at the last match I went to.
Same football, no creativity and wondering to myself why anybody with a sniff of a goal about them is left on the bench(Labadie,McGurk). Why no Zoom as well?
There is no expectation of a win. We should be beating Rochdale,fact.
If I wasn't doing my job as well as I could or expected I would get a kick up my backside. Is anyone doing it to El Supremo?

A fair result...could have gone either way...but why owhy does les put joss on the bench???? Everyone near me were shouting for joss to come on! when he did he made a difference.Come on Les,give the lad a fair crack.

why not 2 up front with Lateef. We sign a good player, and then stick him out wide. Teams know what to expect when they come to PP. Les needs to change it around a little, and quickly. 1 win in 13 is it - not good enough. You have to wonder where the next win will come from

@gony you must be either Les or PJ. Apart from a 10 minute flurry at the end last night was more of what has been happening since October. We were in a relegation battle last season, and will be this as well.

Last night was an opportunity for us to get 3 points and move 9 points away from the relegation zone but instead Les played the most defensive formation ever against a team that got beat 5-1 at home last weekend.
Akins up front seemed like a good idea but he kept drifting onto the right all the time leaving Lateef with nowhere to go and no one in the box to attack the ball. Devaney was absolutely awful too, never took on the full back once and ending up passing it back. He flatters to decieve, reminds of shuker at his worst. The one creative player on the pitch lateef, hardly touched the ball so we created absolutely nothing. Don't get me started on Ash in Midfield, why does he play him there when he can't pass a ball properly and you've two actual midfielders on the bench.
It's starting to annoy me now. We started so well but it's all gone down hill so rapidly fast. I can't tell you where our next win is coming from especially with Huddersfield and Charlton coming up next. By the end of Jan we could easily be just out of the bottom 4.

I have to say I do enjoy reading the comments on the site. The for's and against. I don't get time to comment as often as some but here is my comments. Don't know what are expecting. Staying in the division is good enough especial with the current administration in charge. Whether we like it or not Johnson is not going to put money in, and will keep taking it out (Jennings and Cresswell). We don't have the budget but parry has put a good squad together and it was going well until the injury jinx struck and we lost a number of key players. In terms of style of play is it that much worse than under Ronnie or Brian Little. I don't thing so. It is interesting we have the same number of points after the same number of games as last year. We then went on to win 12 more points from the last 13 games.
I watch a lot of football and what I see at Tranmere is not better or worse than many games I sit through.
I for one hope we stay with reality, keep Parry support the team and hope new investment/ administration will happen soonner rather than later and we then may be in a position to progress. Until then let's hope the team players all feturn to fitness and we start to progress slowly.

how can u be happy with 16th. we do have players to be doing better than this. but les is holding us back. he sets up to give nothing away and hopefully snatch a goal if where lucky. hitting long balls to a lone stricker getting no suppourt from midfield. no one looks like they want the ball just aimlessly hitting up field. no one having a touch and looking to play football. we need a leader and les is no leader last night he did nothing to try and change the game. hands in pocket looking down and clueless. sorry to say it cause i like les but we need a manager not a nice guy.

I thought it was a dire performance but given that we were strugling to field a side due to illness and injury I thought we got off light. Nice to see Cole Stockton get a run out and Atkins and Lateef looked like they might start to produce something if Atkins would stop wandering and Lateef would get a yard nearer him. Atkins knocked some goods stuff on but Lateef was too far away to do anything with it.

Lateef was far away from akins as he was playing wide right in a 4-5-1 rather than upfront in a 4-4-2

Look at it logically. Les wasn't using these tactics until tihs season when McMahon came in and he says he wored under many Tranmere managers, none of which from what I recall played the current style of play.
Les also has no coaching badges, so how would he have the understnading of the style of play he uses if he never saw it implemented by previous managers and never learned it at an FA centre?
Unless he was buying FA branded media relating to set pieces and tactics, his only relistic way to know how the current system works and can be implemented is by people with the priopr knowledge and if Kevin Summerfield knew I would think it would have bene used beofre now.
So the only conclusion I come to is, McMahon knew the system, gave Les the understanding and Les used it, so therefore McMahon could conceivably continue to do use the same system if Les went.

We have played 4-5-1 since les took over as manager nothing has changed during that time except for the odd game.

I don't recall when he came him, implementing a dropped off striker and now he has what I consider, wingers who look like wingers, instead of wingers passed off as strikers from the getgo.
Also he said at the end of last season, he'd planned to change his tactics when he had the right players to do it, so why say that and renague on it, because fans would get bummed by him trying to sound proactive on tactics, then doing a blatent u-turn and going for the pretend 4-3-3 again with copious long ball punting and fans noted earleir in the season, there was much less punting at times and there still is
