After Tranmere held Carlisle to a 0-0 draw away from home on Tuesday night, Les Parry was left to rue missed chances by his side but admitted that they had been worthy of all three points on the night but were left frustrated.

Speaking to Tranmere Player, Parry said…..

"I thought we were worthy of all three points.  Okay, Fonners has made a great save spot on 90 minutes but that was the first time that he touched the ball in anger for the whole game.”

"We were disappointed with the number of chances that we made and we didn't take one, but to be honest I would have taken a point before the game”

"We needed to break the sequence of away defeats, and okay it's a draw, but at least the sequence is broken.  The fans have been brilliant, there's been sections that have been unhappy and I respect that, but the ones that have been here tonight can see the effort that we're putting in."

No one doubts the effort the lads are putting in but hearing about how many chances ... couldn't put one away etc etc AGAIN is starting to wear a bit thin.

Pity that couldn't have been addressed in the transfer window. OK before anyone mentions lack of funds, which we know is an issue, are there really no goal finishers AKA Grrenacre, Muir esc playing in the lower leagues, Scottish or Irish leagues, waiting to be discovered, that couldn't do the said job for us ? Come off it !!

Him Saying 99% of fans are behing him and dark clouds have been lifted because we drew a game 0-0 is both extremely deluded on his part, and also worrying for us.

Where is he getting that from?
