Rovers Announce £5 Admission for Prenton Park Centenary

With the 100th anniversary of Tranmere Rovers playing at Prenton Park fast approaching, the Club have today announced special admission prices for the home game against Leyton Orient in March as part of the celebration events….
With 2012 marking 100 years since Tranmere Rovers Football Club first played at Prenton Park, the Club have today announced that it is to hold a triple celebration at the Leyton Orient game on Saturday 10th March.
Admission to the NPower League One match against the side from north east London will be £5.00 for all supporters in the home sections of the ground which will hopefully swell the support on what will be day of celebration for not one but three landmark occasions.
As well as that game marking the 100 year anniversary of Tranmere playing at Prenton Park, the Club is also marking the 25 year anniversary of Chairman Peter Johnson buying Tranmere and also the famous 1-0 win over Exeter City in 1987 which famously kept Rovers in the Football League.
Prices for the matchday Suites have also been reduced as follows:
Tranmere Suite: Adults £13.50 Juniors £13.50
Vice Presidents' Suite: Adults £19 Juniors £16.50
Dixie Dean Suite: Adults £30 Juniors £22
Speaking to the Tranmere Rovers Official Website about the reduced admission and the day of celebration itself, Chief Executive Mick Horton said….
"The date falls nicely between three very important anniversaries in the Club's history and we're really looking forward to celebrating them with our supporters.
"We've got a lot of different events planned for the day, details of which we'll be announcing in the run up to the game. We want the Wirral public to join in the celebrations which is why we've reduced admission to just £5 for the match."

Slight cause for conern is "also marking the 25 year anniversary of Chairman Peter Johnson buying Tranmere". Plently of people, including me, are still grateful to him but if this is advertised as a celebration of his charmanship others might take it as an opotunity to get some new banners out.
I was thinking the same. I don't feel too many people will want to celebrate his chairmanship at the moment.

I understand it may be all down to money or lack off it but if you own a property in the case Johnson owns Prenton Park it is in his interest to have any building problems fixed this of course may be his plan in due coarse and may have to left till summer I do not know but it would help if the club would just keep the fans in the picture what`s happening when is it going to be fixed and when. As a main stand town end season ticket holder for many a year and it goes back a lot of years it would be good to be informed.They are going about it in a way that may put of town end season ticket holders not renewing next year.
