Ronnie Post-Match: "We Played Some Great Football"

After Tranmere's convincing 3-0 scoreline against Stevenage on Friday afternoon in NPower League One, Manager Ronnie Moore was happy with the performance of his side in reaching the 50-point mark for the season.....

After a comforable home win over Stevenage at Prenton Park on Friday afternoon in NPower League One, Manager Ronnie Moore was delighted to see his team reach the 50-point milestone for the current season and was happy with the performance of his team on the day.

Speaking to Tranmere Player after the game, Moore said.....

"If we'd have played like that at Bury...but you can't grumble.  The lads have been fantastic.  It was an accomplished win and we made it easy for ourselves starting the way we did.  We saw out the second half really well.  The third goal was a great bit of football and at times we played some great football."

"There have been some good performances...Robinson was fantastic with some neat little touches. But it's hard to single one out because everybody gave their all.  The back four has been good, the lads up front have worked hard and the two midfield players have done well.  If they give that sort of performance there's a lot of teams that won't live with them. What we lack in quality at times in the attacking areas we make up for that with a bit of heart and spirit." 

"The crowd has been fantastic again and it's nice that everyone has gone home happy.  We're still looking over our shoulder and it's really tight.  You're going to be really unfortunate if you go down when you've reached that target.  I want to finish as high as we can.  We've gone to the 50 mark, can we go to the 60?"
