Rovers Announce Friendly Double Header

Rovers to take on two League Two clubs away from home in preperation for 2012/13 season
Tranmere Rovers have today started announcing their summer 2012 friendlies, as Ronnie Moore and his side look to prepare for the 2012/13 season.
The club have revealed that they will take on two League Two clubs on the two Saturday's directly before Rovers start their League One campaign on August 18th, with the start of next season having been put back because of the Olympic Games.
What can be assumed to be Rovers' final away friendly of the summer will take place against Mickey Adams' Port Vale at Vale Park on Saturday August 11th, whilst a week earlier, Rovers will travel to Highbury to take on League Two new boys Fleetwood Town, who are managed by former Tranmere midfielder Mickey Mellon.
Tranmere will also, of course, play a number of other Pre-Season fixtures this summer, most likely against local North West and North Wales clubs, as well as the usual couple of friendlies at Prenton Park.
These fixtures have yet to be announced, but Total Tranmere will bring you information of them as soon as possible.
Rovers' current 2012 pre-season fixture list is as follows:
Saturday 4th August - Fleetwood Town (A), 3:00pm kick off
Saturday 11th August - Port Vale (A), 3:00pm kick off
