Tranmere Rovers youngster Max Power has today signed a new one-year contract, keeping him at the club until June 2013.
The 19-year old then made his debut for Tranmere in August as a late substitute against Port Vale in the Johnstones Paint Trophy, a game which saw him score a crucial penalty as Rovers progressed thanks to a shoot out victory.
Power then made his first (and only) Tranmere start to date when putting in a Man of the Match performances during Rovers' 2-0 defeat to Huddersfield Town in September, whilst he has made further substitute appearances against Oldham in the legaue and Chestefield in the Johnstones Paint Trophy.
The Wirral born teenager however hasn't appeared for Rovers since their 2-0 win over Bury at the end of December, meaning he is yet to feature under new boss Ronnie Moore.
Youngster Power is a graduate of the successful Tranmere Rovers youth system and signed his first professional contract with the club last summer along with goalkeeper Andy Coughlin.
He extends his stay at the club on the same day that second year scholars Jake Kirby, Cole Stockton and Will Vaulks signed their first professional contracts, meaning Rovers currently have seven graduates of their youth team signed to the club.

It was great to see Max get his second start for the club yesterday. I thought he looked composed throughout, showing some nice touches on the ball and passed the ball around well. I'd go as far as to say he was our Man of the Match. Bright future ahead for this young lad and hopefully he can push on next season.
He did okay but I do wonder if one of the reasons that Duffy found so much space in midfield to control the game and spray passes around so well was because Wallace wasn't there to close him down.
I thought he did ok too. He looked very nervous which is understandable and didn't do a lot wrong. More game sunder his belt and he could prove to be a good prospect.
Talented lad, much more attacking minded midfielder and has a good shot/passing. Hope he gets a few more games next season as that's what he needs to get to the next level. not reserve team football.
