Third Pre-Season Friendly Announced

Tranmere to play local rivals Vauxhall Motors in pre-season friendly
Vauxhall Motors have today announced that they will host Tranmere Rovers in a pre-season friendly on July 27th 2012.
The game, which will kick off at Riveacre Park at 7pm, is the third friendly Tranmere have had confirmed for this summer, with the Vaulxhall game coming before a League Two double-header against Fleetwood Town and Port Vale.
The friendly continues Tranmere's tradition of playing their local non-league sides, with Rovers having regularly faced the Ellesmere Port side over the past few years.
The Motormen, who reached the first round of this season's FA Cup before being knocked out by Hartlepool United, play in the Blue Square North Division having survived relegation last season. Tranmere striker Cole Stockton, who signed his first professional contract with the club recently, had two spells on loan with the club last season.
Rovers' current confirmed 2012 pre-season friendly list is as follows:
Friday 27th July - Vauxhall Motors (A), 7pm kick off
Saturday 4th August - Fleetwood Town (A), 3:00pm kick off
Saturday 11th August - Port Vale (A), 3:00pm kick off
