Rovers re-sign young Wolves striker Jake Cassidy on loan until January after his successful spell at the Club last season……
Tranmere have today announced the return on loan of striker Jake Cassidy from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The 19 year old Welsh striker will be on loan at the Club until January initially at which point a decision will no doubt be made as to whether to keep him on for longer should the option be available.
Cassidy scored five times in just seven starts in his loan spell with Rovers at the end of last season, making ten appearances in total and his return will surely delight many Rovers fans.
Cassidy began his career with Welsh side Llandudno Junction FC at the age of 16 and scored 28 times in just 32 appearances in his first season there. A move to Welsh Premier League Airbus followed the next season but he made such a good impression in their pre-season campaign that he moved to Wolves before the season had even begun, signing a two year a deal with a third year option.

It was from there that he moved on loan to Prenton Park last season and now returns again until January 2013.
Speaking of Cassidy’s return, Manager Ronnie Moore said…..
“Everybody knows I was impressed by Jake last season so I’m really pleased we’ve been able to bring him back for the first half of the season. The fact that he was able to finish up as our joint top scorer after only playing ten times shows how well he did."
“He’s got a great eye for goal and a fantastic work ethic. He’s keen to learn and wants to do well and I think he’s got a really bright future ahead of him."
