Clean sweep for Rovers in monthly awards once more

After another exceptional month, Tranmere Rovers have once swept up the League One Manager of the Month and Player of the Month awards.
In August, boss Ronnie Moore won the manager of the month as Rovers surged to the top of the League One table, whilst midfielder Andy Robinson was awarded the Player of the Month accolade.
Now, after a stunning September, Moore has once again been named the League One Manager of the Month. Tranmere went unbeaten in the division throughout the month, opening up a three point lead at the top of the table in the process as they beat Crawley (5-2), Coventry (2-0), Colchester (4-0) and Bury (3-0) alongside draws with Brentford (1-1) and Crewe (0-0).

The run, which now sees Rovers eleven games unbeaten in the league, is the club's best ever start to a season and two victories at the start of October against Notts County and Scunthorpe have seen Tranmere extend the gap between themselves and second place to four points.
The Player of the Month award was picked up by striker Jake Cassidy, on a six month loan deal at the club from Wolves.
Cassidy, who was part of Tranmere's revival last season, is League One's joint top scorer with seven goals, all of which came in September.
The 19-year old scored a hatrick against Colchester, Tranmere's second of the season after Andy Robinson netted three times against Carlisle in August, and went on to net further strikes against Coventry, Crawley (x2) and Bury.
Striker Cassidy, who started his career with Llandudo Junction, also picked up the Match Magazine Player of the Month award for September.
