After Rovers earned a 1-1 draw at home to a physical Preston North End side on Saturday, we are asking you to vote for your Tranmere Man of the Match from the game......

After Rovers fought back to secure a 1-1 draw at home to a physical and long ball Preston North End side, we are asking you to once again vote for your Rovers Man of the Match for the game.

After falling behind just after the restart, Rovers equalised five minutes from time through top scorer Jake Cassidy and after that could well have stolen what would have been an undeserved winner as the pressure was finally put on the visitors.

Cassidy Jake (TRFC)

Can only be Cassidy for me. The only one with any real credit out of the game in my opinion.

Bell Baggie was voted by sponsors as MOM but I thought he did make life very difficult by getting into tight corners.
I would go for Cassidy.

It has been amended already since I first put it in. Was unprofessional to put that (even if true) although their Official Site Match Report is laughable. Bitter isn't the word!

If it was not for Fonners we would have lost at least 4 - 1. I rest my case.

Good. They were better than us on the day but they didn't finish us off.King should have been sent off.He received a stern warning from the ref early on but carried on with niggly tackles but never got booked
But the really nauseous thing about Preston is Westley. He is a weasly little nonentity. The ref warned him in the 2nd half
for causing aggro and he has moaned on the PNE sites about how they should have had umpteen penalties.

Westley claimed recently, he had no beef with Ronnie. Hopefully that is the case with Ronnie visa vie him.

Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.

Just looked on one of the PNE sites which has a photo of Westley with a caption underneath "Graham Westley aka The Messiah". He is not the Messiah he is just a naughty boy.

My MOM was Cassidy, who was strong in the tackle, won lots of balls in the air and finished clinically.Others worthy of a mention are Fon Williams whose saves kept them out,Bell-Baggie whose trickery on the wing caused them problems...he was often marked by three defenders at a time, and the indefatigable Zoomana Bakayogo who kept going despite carrying an injury for two thirds of the game after being clattered, which should have been at the least a yellow card.

The sponsors must have been enjoying the hospitality too much to see what was going on below.(Sm42)
