Tranmere hit with more injury problems as captain is sidelined through injury

Tranmere fans will be asking "How's Wally?" instead of "Where's Wally?" for the next six weeks, after it was announced captain James Wallace injured his medial knee ligaments against Chesterfield on Saturday.
The injury was caused when Wallace typically refused to back out of a tackle in the FA Cup fixture on Saturday and was substituted after just eleven minutes, replaced by youngster Max Power.
Rovers have now announced that Wallace will spend the next six weeks working with physio Gregg Blundell as he looks to return to action in January.

Such news will leave Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore cursing his luck, with the club having already been hit by plenty of injury problems this season.
Striker Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro has been out of action since October with a metatarsal injury, whilst Abdulai Bell-Baggie hasn't played since early-November after picking up an injury against Hartlepool. Both players are also expected back in January.
With the loan window now closed, the club won't be able to bring in any players to replace Wallace, meaning either Max Power or Danny Harrison will get a long run in the first team.
