Crawley Town (H) Live Updates and Match Discussion
By Deadly Submarine January 11 2013
If you can't make Tranmere's game at home to Crawley Town in NPower League One on Saturday afternoon, why not follow our live match updates right here and join in the banter right and with other Rovers fans who are unable to attend......
Following football even at League One level is pretty expensive these days and no matter how much you love the Rovers, it will sometimes be difficult to make the games in person whether it be the lengthy away trips, or for exiles living elsewhere in the UK or abroad, the home games too.
As a result, for those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, we at Total Tranmere will not only be providing this match discussion thread for you to discuss developments with the game, but in a brand new feature we will also be providing a live updates service from the game which will include team line-ups, score updates and also pictures and snippets live from the game.
Tranmere of course, host Crawley Town in NPower League One on Saturday afternoon so if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on? You could use our live updates service to keep tabs on the action at the game whilst discussing all the talking points right here on our discussion thread. You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been to watch the game live.
What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use. To follow our live match updates, click on the link below and select the link for the CrawleyTown game from the list.

thought it was 3 great points today against in my opinion a very good crawley team. there 2 forwards clarke & alexander posed quite a threat. thought the back 5 were superb, good to see fonners more positive coming for crosses and his saves were spot on. taylor was immense today & was impressed the way amoo led the line was made up to see him score on his debut. very good team performance and akpo looked sharp when he came on.
A pretty good first half with both teams looking dangerous going forward. the 2nd half was a bit scrappy ay times but i think we just shaded it.
Amoo had an excellant debut and on that showing will be a handfull. Great to see JLAA back and looking quite sharp also Bell-Baggie on the bench, competition for places is hotting up.
Good result today, battled hard and got the win. Amoo made and excellent debut and you can only seeing him getting better with games. Him and JLAA could be an excellent partnership for the rest of the season. Thought Ash Taylor was outstanding today, I only wish that shot had of gone in as he deserved it with his performance.
Despite some excellent performances today, I was bitterly disappointing with McGurk. He had a mare to say the least and I'm disappointed he wasn't withdrawn earlier. Also, don't know if anyone noticed but when Amoo scored, he was the only player not in the corner celebrating which to be honest stunk a little to me. Danny was having a go at him too as he was never helping him out and tracking back which he saw his @#$%& with. Personally for me, if that's gonna be his attitude then he can sit on the bench because there's no room in the team for that.
Don't mean to be negative after such a good performance but would be interested to see what other people observed or think.

Recent form has surpassed my wildest expectations. I was wrong!!
Thought we'd collapse. We haven't and most likely we won't.
Looks like we'll get play-offs minimum. Absolutely fantastic achievement.
What's more the players are not feeling the pressure of over achievement and look like they believe that they are the best side in the division.
Once again a fantastic achievement.
I thought Fon had gud game, Holmes had a gud game, Ash Taylor was superb, Daniels was poor in my opinion, Zoum was excellent, McGurk was awful, Palmer was excellent, Power did ok, Robbo was poor in my opinion, Amoo was quality, O'Hallaron was poor (AGAIN), Akpa Akpro did well and Harrison done nothing.
That's my opinion
Overall I'm pleased with the result and the performance.

good 3 points in the bag just to say mcgurk asa young player has a lot of good abillity but nothing came through against crawley i thought he would have been subed at hafe, time david amoos goal wright place wright time good goal (and yes he did celebrate and why not ? ) ash outstanding all over the pitch, JLAA looked sharp for me is a relefe always a possabillity players dont come back as good fonners man of mach for me saved the game
Fonners,Ash,Amoo or Palmer, any one of them could have got MoM for me.Wallace & Bell-Baggie back with Amoo & AA upfront I think will beat most teams, easy to drop Power,McGurk,O'Halloran for the players to come in,what a bench we will have!!!
stu2012 JLAA looked sharp for me is a relefe always a possabillity players dont come back as good
I doubt the metatarsal injury would have done that. If it had been an achillies injury or some kind of muscle or connective tissue tear, I'd be concerned myself, as former players like Parkinson, Ricketts and Shuker have clearly experienced this.
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
Why does McGurk always gets criticised.
He has been one of our better players recently, particularly away from home, which says it all.
I agree he didn't have his best game on Saturday but we need to get behind him as he is clearly a confidence player.
Booing and berating him will not help, lets get behind him and all the players.

Agreed Lepton. There's simply no place for negativity at the moment. I had a right go at everyone around me who was moaning in the paddock as they moan when things are going wrong but never encourage the team! Anyway a great win especially when other teams dropped points. Sheff utd seem to be struggling with the loss of their two injured players.
Lepton119 I agree with everything you say and I agree that McGurk does get it in the neck a lot. My observations were simply what I had seen from my seat at the game on Saturday.
He has been really good for us no doubt about that and his performances recently have been brilliant, he's working hard for the team and definitely contributing to goals also. His set pieces are also quality, in fact I wish Robbo would leave him too it most of the time.
