Midfielder extends Tranmere stay
Tranmere Rovers midfielder Max Power has signed a new two-year contract at the club, extending his stay at Prenton Park until June 2015.
Power, 19, follows in the footsteps of fellow academy graduates Danny Holmes, Cole Stockton and Jake Kirby in signing a new deal with the club.
The Wirral born youngster, who has been at the club since the age of eight, has been a regular in Tranmere's midfield this season since club captain James Wallace sustained a knee injury in the F.A. Cup against Chesterfield in December.
He made his debut last season, his first year as a professional, in a Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie against Port Vale and went on to make a further five appearances for the club before signing a new one year deal last summer.
And, after making himself a regular fixture in Ronnie Moore's side this year, forging an impressive partnership in the centre of midfield with Liam Palmer and scoring three times in 22 games, he has been rewarded with a new contract.
On signing the contract, Power told the club's official website: "I’m really happy to have signed my new contract.

I think that in two years from now, he'll have progressed enough, that he'll be playing championship football with or without Tranmere; but hopefully with.
