Tranmere Rovers v Colchester Utd Match Discussion Thread
By Deadly Submarine November 29 2013
If you can't make Tranmere's game at home to Colchester United on Saturday afternoon, why not join in the banter right here with other Rovers fans who are unable to attend...
Following football even at League One level is pretty expensive these days and no matter how much you love the Rovers, it will sometimes be difficult to make the games in person whether it be the lengthy away trips, or for exiles living elsewhere in the UK or abroad, the home games too.
As a result, for those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, we at Total Tranmere will be providing this match discussion thread for you to discuss developments with the game.
Tranmere of course, host Colchester United in Sky Bet League One on Saturday afternoon, so if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on? You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been to watch the game live.
What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

They are hard to beat on their travels. They sit deep and defend so it may not be agood game to watch/ It is something of a must win game if we are to stay in touch with the half dozen or so teams above us. It is also time for us to try and do something about our woeful home record for we will not stay up just on away performances.
It feels like alow score draw but that would be a disappointing outcome
wallace took a blow to the eye, proberly stiches job, never seen so many injuries within the first 10-15 mins, 2 subs used up within 12 mins then nearly 3 with ljaa lookin like he was gona go off, I really hope we can sign that peterson lad properly, get rid of baggie now, such a quality player, not scared of havin a go just what we needed, wallace played a blinder too and mcnulty at the back, duno where hately, sodje or baggie have gone but if this is the result keep them out the team.
can i also add were was that new signing from blackburn, edwards, which we cud of done with when goodison went off injured, i can only think hes injured himself or not fit enough
Yeah Edwards is only in as back up for the centre backs and couldn't be included cos of only being allowed five loan players in the squad on a matchday!
I had mixed feelings when they scored- obviously wanted a clean sheet, but the goal meant that I got my first correct score of the season in the Prediction League.
We had a lot of very good performances this afternoon with Peterson and Wallace the standout players. McNulty was again superb at the back and Horwood combined very well with Peterson. The two subs made big contributions and I wouldn't say that anybody had a poor game. Well done everybody.
A great result and Lowe scored I think his 11th goal, so there are positives ot be had.
15 points from the last 10 games whereas Sheffield United have only 12, so that's saying something, as Tranmere's form could be considered by some, a little better than might be expected relative to their spending ability and Sheffield United would be considered considerably under performing relative to theirs.
Long may it continue, where some of the rich faulter and the more financially limited thrive, as it makes for a more interesting league, if not evey team loaded with cash is hogging nearly all the top 10 spots, for 8 months of the season.
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.

Great performance today. Lowe Wallace and Peterson were awesome. Turned the corner?
I thought the team as a whole were quality today. The way the defence adapted twice in the first half impressed me. Wallace was my man of the match today, controlled everything, won every 50/50. We need to renew his contract ASAP!!!!
We did have a shakey start, and Colchester had a lot of chances to score also. But with the defence having to reorganise on so many occasions very good showing. Felt a bit for Holmes getting dropped as hes improved this season. The new winger has really changed how we look going fowards. Hope we can keep hom for the season
Ronnie, get Wallace signed up-and pls get mcnulty full time loanees are all right but we need mcnulty to sign for us.you know what u r doing I have faith in you,

Pete, Barnsley have sacked their manager so I suppose theres a chance that they could recall McNulty but hopefully not.
After a shaky start when they missed a sitter and could've been 2 up we settled down well and played some good football deservedly winning the game and really should have been by 3 or 4 goals.
Lowe Wallace Peterson had excellent games, Holmes & Horwood both did will when they came on.
Hopefully now we can move up the table and maybe get through to the next round of the cup.
The way Peterborough played prior to their last game the cup match is much more winnable. Sneaking a 1-0 against Wolves, but I think 5 defeats before that.
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.
Wallace will renew his contract as we did not decide not to terminate his instead we stuck by him for 11 months because usually if a player is out for so long they are released, hopefully he'll return the favour in renewing his contract.
