Peterborough Utd v Tranmere Rovers Match Discussion Thread
By Deadly Submarine
December 6 2013
If you can't make Tranmere's game away at Peterborough United on Saturday afternoon, why not join in the banter right here with other Rovers fans who are unable to attend...
Following football even at League One level is pretty expensive these days and no matter how much you love the Rovers, it will sometimes be difficult to make the games in person whether it be the lengthy away trips, or for exiles living elsewhere in the UK or abroad, the home games too.
As a result, for those fans who can't make some of the Rovers games this season, we at Total Tranmere will be providing this match discussion thread for you to discuss developments with the game.

Tranmere of course, travel to Peterborough United in the second round of the FA Cup with Budweiser on Saturday afternoon, so if you're not going to the game why not join in the banter right here while the game is going on? You could also use this thread to discuss other interesting scores throughout the league as well as discussing this game afterwards if you have been to watch the game live.
What you discuss below is up to you but hopefully it can all be focused on one thread to make it easier for everyone to use.

However I am not too bothered by this as the league is more important and if they play like they have done in their last several league games mostly against form teams then they'll be up the table in no time.
Then I ate his Liver.......... with some baked beans and a can of coke.

A worse performance that the previous one, considering the previous involved a sending off a penalty and a crocked defender.

They declared after an hour in the previous match.
The performance wasn't great but for me it was Ronnie's choice of formation that cost us (and as regulars will know I've backed Ronnie throughout the poor start).
I appreciate he was up against Assombalonga in his first appearance for us and surrounded by players he hadn't played with but Ryan Edwards was awful and we can only be thankful that Ash Taylor is back for next Saturday. Ridehalgh too had a poor game and I'd like to see Horwood come back in next Saturday.
Wallace was the best outfield player but Atkinson (did he even play?) was terrible and both wingers were no good. Petersen worryingly suggested that last week at home was a one off star performance but hopefully that won't be the case.
As I've said on another thread we need rid of Akpro in January by whatever means and even Lowe seemed off key with some poor and sloppy passes in the final third.
Man of the Match was Fonners for stopping it being 7 with at least two great late saves!
Hopefully we can put that one to bed with a good performance and hopefully a good result at Carlisle next week!
This result is a wake up call to the management players & fans that a lot of hard work lies ahead this season.
To not learn the lessons from earlier in the season is a disgrace.
On the highlights it looks like edwards had a shocker but I feel for the lad as he was left wide open....
looked like the ball came through our midfield a number of times with ease....(did we have a midfield?) but again before jumping on them if your outnumbered against good players what can you expect??
Danny holmes seemed to vanish for 2 of goals as well which didn't help edwards either...?
I'd also look at what the scouting report said on them.....surely they know enough about that striker to stop/make thing harder for him???!!

I cant understand people saying they don't mind us losing in the cup, we have missed out on potentially earning some decent money which in our position is much needed.

Totally agree-but it doesn't surprise me who said it.
