Rovers were unable to get a foothold in the game against one of the best sides to visit Prenton Park this season and a goal in each half from Alex Revell was enough to seal all three points for the visitors despite a late consolation from Andy Robinson giving Rovers some hope and almost the chance of earning a draw late on.

Ash Taylor was solid at the back for Rovers despite the scoreline
