Does anyone know if the away end is seated or stands, thinking of taking my little lad but won't if it's like accrington?

I've never been there before but plan to go tomorrow. This is what the Hartlepool official site says:-

Was looking forwRd to this one but my kids have told me they are a bit tired after a hard week in school and dont really want to travel far this weekend! Enjoy the game folks!

Look out for the hanging monkeys. Decided to travel up overnight from the South as recent away games stuck in traffic jams. Should be in Hartlepool for 8am! Anyone fancy brekkie?

Cheers guys, were on our way, am finding this season so hard to predict but am going to be optimistic and say 2-1 win.. You have to be when you've got the fastest player in the world set to make his debut!

I reckon cole and one of the debutants to score

15 mins to go Fanimo still on bench , Edwards what's point in signing him if he doesn't play , he is quick & can score I'm not at the ground I know but when u have proven goal scorer you get them on pitch it's not rocket science !!

yeah i agree with you to stewinoz, although some player that had started were probably playing well, but the stats say we had 17 shots but only 3 on target,so whats the harm in sticking fanimo on and koumas to change things a little, they might of created a goal which we needed, but we will never know

This reminds me of another player we had some time ago... Think you will all remember Bruna? Why in God's name would you bring in a player like this for such a a short amount of time and not bring him on when we obviously can't score? Annoying but I suppose as I'm not there so can't comment with much authority.

Perhaps someone at the game could prove me wrong? Sounds similiar to the Bruna situation.

They had no shots on target every right not tomb happy with a point only RE knows why he not bring Fanimo on but we should b looking to win ganes not content with a draw 15.th

Happy with the point, but i do agree, if we only have Fanimo for 1 month shouldnt we of brought him on?

My worry is that if we don't give him a run, then do not envisage West Ham allowing him to stay and merely bench warm.
Perhaps impact of Abs hamstring injury will open the door for him on Tuesday

Should be playing 442 with Abs on one wing Fanimo on the other!

A like for like substitution would have been Fanimo on for Abs instead of Donnelly.

In a national newspaper today it said fanimo is the "fastest footballer in the world"(apparently GpS tested). We lack pace throughout the squad and still he stays on the bench, he scored 4 goals last week for west ham u21, still he stays on the bench?????
Don't get me wrong, a clean sheets and point isn't bad but surely at some stage we have to throw caution to the wind and actually try and win a game??

We were much the better team today particularly in the second half. Our central defence looked a bit shaky on crosses in the first ten minutes but after that were not troubled and all played well. Gill made a big difference positioning himself just in front of them or even between them at times.

Hartlepool were very poor-we should have won and certainly deserved the three points. We seem to try and walk the ball in at times when an earlier shot would be the best option. This was certainly true of Richards who got himself into a number of good positions with some speedy breaks[in the second half]but then chose to pass when a shot looked the better option. I personally never blame players who have a go rather than faffing around with the ball.

The one thing that the manager and players must urgently look at is our action when we have a corner. We had a lot of corners today-so many I lost count- but never threatened once from them. We have too many players doing the same thing going for the near post and nobody coming in from the outer parts of the area timing themselves to arrive at the back post at the same time as the ball. The delivery from the corners was poor by Max but those in the middle didn't help him either.

The only decent effort from a dead ball situation was Hill's free kick in the first half which their keeper tipped over.

I could understand why the manager made no substitutes until Baggie got injured as we were totally dominating-no need to change[those chanting for Koumas were in my opinion wrong]. But I couldn't understand why Fanimo was not brought on for Baggie rather than Donnelly.If he's as fast as they say,then the last 20 minutes were ideal for him.

A much much better performance than Accrington but it should have been three points not one.

His first few touches were poor but he was starting to get going just as the match finished so hard to say. Would prefer to see him in the middle rather than on the right wing.

A clean sheet is positive, but I'm disappointed the team didn't win, as I believe they did enough to win.

Fanimo needs action soon, or there will be no extension to the deal.

However the gap between Tranmere and the playoffs is now 3 points not 4, so that is a plus point.

Extremely valid re attacking far post from corners.
Lost count of number of times that we have had nobody to attack a loose ball at the far post. (Deadly probably doesn't like the fact that the chap sat near me in the main stand frequently makes this point extremely vociferously).
Just as infuriating is the way we form a line for free kicks, rather than attack the ball on a phased basis. I am sure that the policy would be fine if we had the quality to ensure that we actually found our team mates as intended - but we don't.
It would be nice to see the club address this, then perhaps the next development might be to close down the opposition thrower, rather than merely let his team mate pass the ball back to him as we insist upon doing.
However, given that this is another shortcoming which appears to be apparent to all, yet has been going on for years - probably nothing will change

A solid performance which deserved 3 points, the whole team worked hard and Fon had nothing to do, a well deserved clean sheet.
We had more than enough chances to win it and I was thinking we were going to get punished for not taking them with them snatching a late winner.

I think The reason why famino didn't come on was because RE was scared to change it and may of been worried about his defensive capabilitys given the team were playing well and working hard, I don't think Donnelly would of come on only for ABB getting a knock.

On Donnelly, I thought he looked good for the 10 minutes he was on, he's quite fast an got a couple of shots off in the last few minutes, he reminds me of Adam mcgurk.

Also I thought gill was great, surprised he doesn't play more, we look a lot more solid and organised with him in the middle.
I noticed RE said post match "how vital he is, with us having a young team" - well if that's the case why didn't you bring him on against Cheltenham and accrington to protect the lead! Sorry little dig I know but some of the things he says are naive and p+*s me off!

However onwards an upwards, look forward to Newport now on Tuesday were we should pick up the 3 points, then hopefully we can kick on from there

No need to rest in my eyes, given he also had a reserve team game last week, so didn't suffer from tiredness.
Wait and see.

The one thing with Gill is though is that he represents the assistant now, so when he's playing he can't be used to consult with on any alterations to the team or tactics in the second half.

He no doubt will get more game time, but I think Edwards might try to strike a balance between playing him and having him on the sidelines with him.

Apparently the ''hamstring injury'' which it looked like at the time,was only cramp.
