The latest edition of the Tranmere Rovers fanzine, "Give Us An R" is now available to purchase at all of Rovers' upcoming home and away matches.......

Tranmere's home draw against Hartlepool United last Saturday saw not only the return to Prenton Park of Rovers' legend Ronnie Moore but also saw the latest edition of the popular Tranmere Fanzine "Give Us An R" go on sale to supporters for the first time.

Issue 96 of the magazine features a full front cover page depicting the almost full Kop stand during the recent home FA Cup tie against Swansea City at Prenton Park which saw a crowd of just over 10,000 people in attendance, as well as a quote from Manager Micky Adams about the size of the crowd and the potential it shows for Rovers as a Club.

Reviews of the recent away trips to both Burton Albion on Boxing Day and Morecambe in the early new year are featured in this issue along with the regularly featured articles such as 'The Hairdryer Treatment' (Ryan Ferguson), 'The Jones Journal' (Trevor Jones), Total Tranmere's very own Deadly Submarine, Matthew Jones and Liam Scarth's tale of his most recent foreign football adventure, this time visiting the San Siro Stadium in Milan.

Other non-regular features in this edition include an interesting piece by Tom Raybould on another Tranmere legend, Warwick Rimmer and what he has given the club in the past 27 years or so as well as a write up called 'Bruges to Biggleswade' by Rovers fan Mark Jenks about his recent trip abroad which took a number of Stadiums of different shapes and sizes on the near continent.

'Give Us An R' is on sale at all Rovers Matches both Home and Away

Alongside the usual 'Guess the Grounds' quizzes is a piece first mentioned here on Total Tranmere in the past fortnight called 'The Underdog Blog' in which a stand-up comedian from Derbyshire and his mate travelled to watch underdogs Tranmere take on Swansea at Prenton Park and gives an interesting and alternative neutrals view of visiting Prenton Park for what was of course a big game.

The 'You Don't Have to be Mad' fans interview feature with Rob McArdle also makes for interesting reading towards the end of the Mag whilst at the very beginning, the Doctor gives his take on the current situations in the regular Editorial section.

If you've never read GUAR before, or you used to read it but have since lapsed, why not give it a try.  The fanzine is on sale at Tranmere games both home and away with matchday sellers at Prenton Park usually situated on the corner of the Kop and Johnny King Stand and at the opposite corner of the Stadium next to the Johnny King Statue.  At away games the Mag is usually on sale at the away turnstiles.

Priced at £2.50, the fanzine is an entertaining read featuring mixedviews and opinions on both Rovers related issues and football in general so why not give it a go!
