After another dismal away defeat for Tranmere at Whaddon Road against fellow relegation strugglers Cheltenham Town, we are asking you to vote for you Tranmere Man of the Match from the game as part of our post-match poll series.

The home side took a fortunate lead in just the second minute of the game when a cross from the right deflected off Danny Holmes shoulder and into the net but despite the fortunate nature of the goal, the home side dominated the remainder of the first half and could have added to their tally.   Rovers began the second half a little brighter but the good spell didn't last long and it was the home side who scored again to virtually kill the game off thanks to a free far post header from a free kick out wide.

Rovers rallied in the final ten minutes including Max Power hitting the crossbar with a free kick late on but Cheltenham always looked comfortable and Rovers were left with yet another "bad day at the office". 

Despite an early own goal which he knew nothing about, Danny Holmes was the passionate player who gave the effort required
