Holmes is Your Cheltenham Man of the Match

Long serving right-back Danny Holmes wins the Total Tranmere Man of the Match Award for the Cheltenham away game.......

After a period of voting shortened by the fact that Tranmere's have another upcoming midweek League game, it can now be confirmed that you, the fans, voted long serving right-back Danny Holmes as your Tranmere Rovers Man of the Match for Saturday's away trip to Cheltenham Town.

Despite being credited with an own goal in the opening few minutes of the game which to be fair he would have known very little about, Holmes put in a determined effort that was sadly lacking in many of the other members of the Rovers squad on the day.  Rovers of course conceded a second goal in the second half to eventually lose 2-0 without too much of a fight.

As you can see from the poll below, Danny polled 50% of the vote in what was once again a much lower voting count than usual although this only to be expected when Rovers support is much smaller in number and when the voting period is much reduced.
