Surely we can't defend as badly as in the previous few games. I feel sure that MA will start with five across the back hopefully with Donacien as the third central defender. I would start with four in midfield, Laird, Gardner, Jennings and Molyneux, with donnely as a lone striker. Lets get the disciplne at the back and then bring on Power, Myrie-Williams and Obejayi later if necessary. A good defensive performance will at least give more confidence that we can escape the drop. I don't think this is the time to bring in youngsters unless they are outstanding. Being able to score a few goals for the reserves means little when stepping up to League 2 level in a crisis situation. Lets avoid booing the team during the match if it all goes pear-shaped again as the players need their confidence building. What do you think?
In view of the fact that we are 1 point behind with 33 still to play for. a draw would be a good result and the same at Cambridge next Tuesday. It is highly unlikely that all of Cheltenham, Carlisle and York are likely to suddenly improve. If we have another defensive catastrophe though, pushing the boat out and bringing in two more central defenders on loan may be the only option if the money is available.

i agree, i`d take 2 points from 2 very tricky away games, i think were more than capable of 4 buts lets not push it, plenty of time left and i disagree with subs i`ll take a draw have passed now comment, 2 points with solid defensive performances might signal the start of a revival, were in big big big big trouble but were not quite dead yet, there`s still time but not much of it left
Because of our failings we are now in our own mini league of five you could say six but Mansfield seem out of the mix now being eight points ahead of us.
If we fail to get three points out of the next two games and other teams may pick up points, in fact going on Saturday only if we get beat and either York or Carlisle win it will put one of them on 39 pts five ahead of us what we need is us to win on Saturday and for York and Carlisle to draw.
We are in a right mess now and to think at the end of January only three points separated us in 22nd place from Portsmouth in 16th place and we had a game in hand.
probably win 0-1, better side playing football seems to suit us. teams with little confidence who show some heart and rough us up and we run and hide in the corner.
Need to get onto the 2nd ball in midfield, defence is@#$%&but we need to defend further up the pitch not end up with a back 5,6, or 7 inviting them to attack and ultimately score.
I thought MA was the saviour now I'm thinking he has lost the plot and picks his teams from a hat rather than via a process or system, more players just means more names in the hat and more random team selections.
god I'm fed up, maybe get a ticket for chester next week lol
After 4 straight defeats I think the law of averages says we will win tomorrow. When we played Northampton at PP I gave man of the match to chris shuker...why hasn't he played since.. Or even been on the bench.??? Anyway I will go for a 0-2 win for SWA ..Does anyone know why Shuker hasn't played since, coz it baffles me..!!!
We need a win today anything else will not do,OK at best a draw but if we get beat either York or Carlisle will be five points ahead of us if they draw both will be three points ahead of us and Cheltenham will be two points ahead of.
So if you look at the whole picture we're in the sh*t up a creek without a paddle and heading out of the league on fast track.
So if the team take a good look at themselves they have for once dig in and fight for all three points anything else will not be good enough in an old shipyard language the chalk line is drawn and it's time the team took note and stepped over that line and fight for our future in this league.
Clearly we need the 3 points but then that has applied to all the recent games and yet we have lost almost all six pointer games. The contrast in the performane of both teams since we beat them at home has been really marked. They off loaded players and brought in experience and it is reflected in their turn around. The rest of the season is so much harder than the six weeks just gone and it is difficult to retain any belief that we are going to turn tings around. My heart wants us to escape but my head tells me that there is more chance that Hatlepool will finish above us than there is of us being above two other teams
Start slow, go one nil down in the 18th minute. Show a bit of fight but get no reward, fizzle out and eventually lose 2-0. Im not even going to listen to this on the radio, its starting to affect my health.
