Myrie-Williams Wins Cambridge Man of the Match Vote

Winger Jennison Myrie-Williams wins the Total Tranmere Man of the Match Award for last Tuesday's away game against Cambridge United......

After another shortened period of voting because of Tranmere's game tomorrow afternoon at home to Burton Albion, it can now be confirmed that you, the fans and readers of this site, voted winger Jennison Myrie-Williams as your Tranmere Rovers Man of the Match for last Tuesday night's 2-1 away win against fellow strugglers Cambridge United.

Myrie-Williams was heavily involved on the night setting up the second, winning goal for Danny Gardner but also being involved in a number of other chances that came the way of Rovers in what was a deserved and much needed victory on the road.

As you can see from the poll below which unsurprisingly only saw sixteen votes polled considering Rovers only had 164 fans there anyway, Myrie-Williams polled 38% of the votes cast (6 votes) with the nearest challenger being Liam Ridehalgh who 19% of the vote (3 votes).  In a game where there were a number of decent performers its perhaps a little surprising that only three others from the starting eleven aside from Myrie-Williams and Ridehalgh polled any votes.

Perhaps even more surprising is that two of the substitutes on the night also polled votes with Dugdale, who was a replacement for the injured Josh Thompson before half an hour had been played,  polling two votes and Jordan Hugill who was only on the pitch for the injury time period, even polling a vote as well.
